   Ordered a variety of dishes for my family, with myself ordering a beef curry. This absolutely horrific! All of the beef was pure fatty gristle. The sauce itself was so thick, you had to spoon the pieces of meat out of the tray. I understand you are not going to get decent food all of the time, when eating from takeaways, but this was inedible, a total waste of money.

   Interesting experience for me. When I first saw the place I could tell the shop was ran by the old boys, the run down look matched experienced season Hong Kong Chinese veterans. Unfortunately, it seems I’m some years too late to meet them. I was greeted by a Mainland China owner who was a Mandarin speaker. This must be the “new management” which the other reviews have mentioned. They were openly and proudly advertising their mixed salt and pepper box for £20 on the front desk so I thought they must be quite proud of their salt and pepper dishes. So I ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken. With due respect to them, they can make a good salt and pepper dish. So far my 3 days of sampling Chinese takeaways in this area. I found what might be a winner for salt and pepper! This salt and pepper variant is popular in the midlands, not often found elsewhere where in England. They follow the double deep fried anthology so even if its been sat in the container for some 15 minutes its not soggy, still crispy! Cannot fault them for their salt and pepper dishes. Potentially best in this area if not at least compared to the local villages. Unfortunately, this is where I have to end their praise but I will be critical, not negative. Their BBQ pork fried rice was somewhat tasteless. Lacked some flavour, rice was too dry, not enough soy sauce used. But it is slightly offset by the default large container - making it decent for value. I have to commend them for the generous portion size. Also need to include that their egg fried rice has the same consistency of dryness regretfully. The boss lady was very friendly to me, I was happy with her service.

   This was the first time that we've used our local Chinese takeaway, and the experience was really good. I ordered online, and after registering, the website was very good. On collection after 20 minutes, the portions were delicious and generous. In fact we had enough for a second meal the next day. We will definitely be ordering from here again, and next time, I'll take some photos!

   I've just had a takeout house special chow mein was tasteless cheap small prawns not good sorry specialfried rice was slightly better hoisin sauce served cold chips was the best thing , very disappointed .

   We ordered by phone for a takeaway to collect. I was really please with the lemon chicken and satay dishes; often I have found elsewhere they use chicken nuggets, but here at the Hong Kong Kitchen it was proper chicken breast. And tasty too. Great sized portions.
