We booked this as a table of 6 some weeks ago for my mum's birthday today. I only realised this morning that I had not notified the restaurant of a dietary requirement for our group- entirely my fault! I called them first thing and they said they'd do their best to accommodate although they do usually like to have a day's notice. When we arrived, we were seated at our table in a fairly quiet restaurant room, beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff were all very friendly, especially to the 1 year in our group! Our drink orders were taken promptly. The afternoon tea itself was fantastic, one of the best I've ever had, lots of variety! The savoury pastries/sandwiches were delicious, as were the cakes etc but our favourite was the bath bun! Very generous portions of jam and cream too. The dietary requirement was catered to perfectly, again entirely my fault I didn't declare this soon so we are very appreciative it was catered to at such short notice! A fabulous afternoon tea, we'll certainly be returning.

Lovely terrace to enjoy an al fresco lunch. Beautiful gardens. Decent wine list and upscale food. Mediterranean style. We had lamb meatballs and avocado mozzarella small plates. Circa Β£30 pp.

Lovely dinner at Olio restaurant during our stay at Homewood. We were sat in the lovely conservatory area with a fantastic view. The foot was delicious and the staff were very polite. The seabass and chicken dishes were delicious!

We had an amazing dinner at Olio restaurant. The entire hotel is dog friendly and so is the dining area. My dining companions said this was the best rice pudding they had ever eaten (pictured). They had the salmon, I had the cauliflower steak and another person had the lamb. All were incredibly delicious.

Afternoon tea was delicious and the gluten free options were perfect. Lively music gave a different feel and the gardens looked well kept and would look stunning at the right time of year.

Just back from our family Christmas dinner in one of the restaurantβs garden cabins. What an amazing experience! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and superb service. Our waiter Joe did an amazing job and added to the mood by his positive and very friendly service. Canβt recommend high enough. An excellent experience

Great place to eat, excellent food and attentive service. Some quirky decoration in the restaurant. All part of the fab Homewood Hotel experience. By the way, if you recognise the photo pictures on the wall, it's Peter Gabriel. A bit of a local.

Five of us visited the garden domes at the back of Homewood Park. The food was excellent, domes were warm, blankets were available also. Each dome came equipped with a sonos and a dyson fan heater. We were there almost 3 hours and had the winter menu of cheese fondue, beef Wellington and crumble. It was fantastic. You can also ask for the wine and champagne to be removed from the menu and bill and pay for whichever other drinks you'd prefer. Overall it seemed very pricey at first but well worth the money for the dining experience!

We didn't try the larger main dishes, but instead had 5 or so of their small plates to share, with a dessert. Their dishes were varied and all reasonably priced. Good selection of wines and drinks to accompany the meal. Service was great and attentive.

I enjoyed a lovely birthday meal at Olio, a restaurant on the terrace of the Homewood Hotel. The food was lovely, we enjoyed the spiced tiger prawns and chorizo and salt and pepper Brixham squid for starters followed by the spiced Cornish cod and the Walter Rose lamb cutlets and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert Everything was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The staff were attentive and surprised me with a lovely plate of birthday chocolate truffles. Only reason i'm not giving it 5 stars is because of dogs being allowed at the restaurant... Yes i know it's an outdoor restaurant and people love their dogs and I like spending time with dogs just not in a restaurant
