Jack and his team were so wonderful and kind and caring! They helped me with local tips and guidance even before I’d arrived. I had a change of plans and they were very understanding and accommodating. So much of the travelling experience is shaped by our interactions with people and it’s an utter pleasure and a privilege to be welcomed with such warmth and care.

Delicious spot for food. I didn’t stay, just enjoyed a meal. They had one top notch plant-based option, so that made my day. Tasty, nutritious and a lovely big serving. Thank you all!

Cosy local pub with very friendly staff. We enjoyed the food, and can highly recommend the fish and chips. Everything felt home made. Recommended

Very accommodating at sorting a large table of 11 of us last minute. What a beautiful location, exterior of the building and the interior of the pub is cosy and charming. Good choice of drinks and food. Food we had was delicious and great quality. Service was great, staff were so nice and friendly. Specials board worth going for and if we’re in the area again, we will go back. Thank you!

From the moment we walked in and throughout our meal, the service was exceptional – attentive without being intrusive, and you could tell the team genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. We ordered pizzas and were blown away by how delicious they were. Clearly made with quality ingredients and proper attention to detail and up there with being one of the best pizzas in Bath. The setting is absolutely beautiful too and it's the perfect spot to relax with friends over dinner. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

A truly lovely pub, with extremely gracious hosts. We recently had the pleasure of staying there and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect, including; delicious food, a very warm atmosphere and really comfortable room. We are certainly looking to revisit in the not too distant future. Thank you.

Lovely little hotel/pub. The proprietor went over & above to make us comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are beautiful, the decor within keeping of the age of the property. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We stayed for one night but could happily have stayed for a week in this peaceful location Thoroughly recommend.

Stopped by for a drink as it was too early for food (the kitchen opened at 5pm). The pub is explicitly dog friendly. Staff were really lovely and attentive and we felt well looked after. Thank you!

Had a delicious lunch here today, French Onion Soup and a fish sandwich, my son had the mushroom burger and said it was really good. Will definitely eat here again. Dog friendly too, which is perfect

Have had quite a few meals here. Beer is well kept and the food is really good. Only minor criticism is sometimes they go a bit light on the veg with your food, but it's all damned tasty!
