Friendly staff but terrible coffee and sadly don’t allow dogs inside at the moment

Food was ok but not just expensive in my opinion very overpriced. Β£10 for a jacket potato with beans and cheese and the same for a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. Plain out of a bag white bread, cheap salad tomatoes, oh and some red onion. Staff were lovely out on the floor but seems like the owners or similar are relying heavily on their location. Was very very loud when we visited too, had to shout to hear my friend over the table.

Great view from the cafe. Tea was fine. Lemon meringue pie had a rather over starched consistency rather than a smooth lemony filling.

Lunch yesterday in the cafe, young lady on the till took down our order slightly incorrectly on one of the items, no big deal so whilst paying we mentioned it, she called over a rude arrogant older woman who printed off the receipt and read out every item again, we only wanted to change one item. Asked for a cheese and tomato baguette and she said that’s only a toastie aggressively so we said can you not make a baguette ? Followed by a big sigh and huff ! Food came out, baguettes had no butter on them and bread was stale and incredibly dry. Jacket potato skin like leather. Also told off for using a bottle opener left on the customer side of the till. Do you think we are a baby who can’t touch a bottle opener ?! Overall - cafe basic and old for a premium price, customer service very poor and we won’t be back, I’d recommend everyone avoids, staff don’t like customers just because of a simple request to change from a ham and cheese to cheese and tomato. Manners cost nothing.

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. I had a nice Welsh Rarebit and a cup of soup, the wife had a jacket potato with lemon tuna mayonnaise. All tasted great. These two meals, a bottle of rhubarb lemon, a bottle of ginger beer and a packet of crisps was less than Β£30. There was a big range of lovely looking cakes, teas and coffees, but we were a bit full to have anything else.

Always enjoy my visits here. My daughter and her family came from the Cotswolds for the day and chose to have a snack here.

Great little find. Lovely staff behind the counter, bread and butter pudding was very high quality. Cappuccino was very good. Bit basic inside with a lack of ambience - although a great view from some aspects.

Food is good but quite expensive for what you get (Β£9 for a jacket potato for example). Cakes are nice though and lots of room for pushchairs etc.
