   My fiancé and I visited the Eskbank branch of 8 yards and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the kilts for hire. We were even more so impressed, however, by the excellent customer service skills of staff member Hollie. From the outset she was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and provided expert advice to help me find the ideal kilt for my wedding next year. She took account of my personal preferences and made tailored suggestions to help guide us in the right direction, and I was delighted to finally book the right kilt for me. She even made recommendations for accessories my fiancé could incorporate into her bridal attire and advised us to think of matching tartan accessories for our beloved pet greyhound! We can't recommend this place highly enough, and special commendations to Hollie for her outstanding sales experience and customer service skills!

   Needed kilts for my two boys for my Nieces wedding in York. We had a bad experience with another company in past with wrong size jackets and missing items at pickup. Wish we had used 8 Yards last time! The Team were so friendly, helpful and professional. Cannot recommend them enough. Helped size up boys and tried items on to check okay for fit. Gave us tips on wearing too. So pleased. Really felt like a family run business with the pride in their service. Passionate about being and improving their eco friendly impact too.    The place was a little tricky to find at first, but once you meet the team — who are right outside the window — you couldn’t ask for more helpful people. With the high demand and huge variety of outfits they offer, it’s easy to see why even a small sign on the door is enough to keep business booming. (For anyone unsure, you drive straight in, take the first right, then your first left — it’s the third door at the back of the building. Walk straight in and the office is on your left.) Their prices are extremely reasonable, and what really impressed me was how flexible and accommodating they are. Whether you gain or lose a bit of weight before your big day, they’re more than happy to make adjustments a week or so before — no fuss at all. I was genuinely happy with the service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

   Hired a kilt. jacket and shoes for our neighbours wedding in May, from the Dalkeith outlet. Staff were very helpful and gave great advice on matching a suitable kilt to my preferred jacket colour.    The service at Hardengreen has been excellent. I phoned the morning of my son's graduation in Glasgow as he had lost his tie for his kilt outfit. Conor was extremely helpful as he was when we bought the whole kilt outfit from him a couple of years ago. He let me borrow a tie overnight as they did not have exact match of tartan tie in stock. I then ordered the new tie, which I collected yesterday. All staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks again Conor for saving a great day!

   I would give this place 6 stars if I could. When I went there met a lovely young lady who listened to exactly what I wanted. Went into stock and picked out exactly what I (and my wife) agreed to on Thursday afternoon. Tried on and they needed adjustment which the seamstress carried out free of charge and picked up good to go on Friday morning. 100% recommend and I will return.

   Kyle and Conor made me a kilt, in our own tartan, for my sons wedding. Due to the Covid restrictions and me living in France it was all transacted remotely. The results were simply fantastic. I am delighted to recommend the guys at Dalkeith for their attention to every detail, their response times, their pleasant manner and their overall service. Top drawer in every aspect.    The guys at 8Yards are impeccable with the detail they offer and advice as to how you can create something truly special. I am getting married but not until next year however decided to be proactive and start researching bespoke kilts. I was recommended the guys at 8Yards and from the very first meeting I just felt they were the right fit. They couldn't have been any nicer and there was no hard sale from them which my partner and I liked as they were honest and willing to give advice and expertise knowledge free of charge. I originally spoke with Hamish but having been helped out along the way by the whole team and especially Kyle and Hamish we all agree that not only has the process been enjoyable but the end result is unbelievable and I am super chuffed with my kilt. I would not hesitate to recommend the guys and there team and only wish I was able to give more than 5 stars as they have truly far exceeded my expectations. Best Kilt makers by far for the full package they provide in my humble opinion. Please check out a few of the pictures to show they're impeccable work which has been done from the kilt maker to the seamstress to the sporran makers to the shoe makers. Incredible service and thank you guys again.
