Fish was hard and over cooked. Clearly had been reheated. Chips were just warm. If I didn’t have my disabled father to get back in the car I would have taken it back. Disgraceful quality. Nothing like the parson street branch

We used to love the chunky fish, non greasy batter, and chunky chips. But the last two visits have been disappointing. Greasy fish is quite thin, and chips are generous in quantity but not to the quality we had previously. We believe the shop could be under new management. They have also dropped to a 4 star on hygiene Pic is a standard cod and half portion of large chips. They now take card payments. 2 cod large chips cost £19.50 (as they never seem to have a large cod)!

I waited 20 mins just for 2 bags of chips myself and daughter couldn't finish the chips and they were really GREASY YUCK must of been full of fat never again !

Disgusting service and zero integrity ... phoned order in, told 15 minutes, arrive 5 minutes later and pay, end up waiting half an hour before questioning how much longer only to find out the food was ready 15 minutes before and just stuck in the warmer ... no apology, in fact, they blamed me for not asking earlier, even after I said that they could at least admit a mistake, just ignored ... customer service costs nothing, but clearly not at all important to these guys.

At first i thought decent chip shop. As time has gone on the prices, for example a fish cake used to cost 80p then £1.20 and now £1.60 as also the same for a battered sausage going from £1.20 and now £1.80 for a small one. I now only use the shop for chips and just recently they have made the portions smaller thats the only reason im giving my opinion. I know energy ect has gone up in price but there has to be a balance not greed.

Really good portion sizes. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I would have liked a heads up on prices before I got there. Many places have a Facebook page or web site with prices on. Me personally - I would have found that very use full, but that might just be me?
