   I wouldn’t normally book a restaurant rated 3.8, but I’m really glad I took the time to read the reviews rather than just looking at the number. What actually made me sad was that the first negative review I saw seemed to focus almost entirely on parking rather than the restaurant itself. That ain’t fair! The reviewer was clearly frustrated about not being able to park easily — in a busy city, right next to one of the most famous bridges in history, perched on the edge of a gorge. Of course parking is hard… what exactly did they expect? Anyway, enough about parking, I’m now doing exactly what they did. On to the food. Yes, it’s a steak restaurant, but I wasn’t in the mood for meat. I started with the squash starter with orzo and it was amazing. Honestly, I could happily have eaten a main-sized version of that alone. I also had sourdough, roasted potatoes, and roasted cabbage, all absolutely fabulous. The service was excellent, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. And the views! They really are something special and add so much to the whole experience. I will definitely be back. Ignore the 3.8, read the reviews properly, and give Goram & Vincent a go, you might be pleasantly surprised, just like I was.

   PARKING IS RIDICULOUS! (I'll get to the restaurant in a moment) You can only use their carpark if you are staying in the hotel and there's only a handful of spots on the street, everywhere else is permit holders. Then, you're looking at parking a 20min walk away (no exaggeration). If there's a wedding on, forget it and eat elsewhere. Amazingly we lucked in to a spot, allowing me to actually write a review of the restaurant... The view of the bridge is pretty special and the setting is good. It's pretty good value too for what it is, especially the set priced offerings. Service was quite casual but fine. I'd have considered 4* if it wasn't for the stressful parking; it's what every customer was talking about as they were seated.

   Disappointed with our experience. We were there using the First Table app on Saturday to celebrate a birthday. Arrived at 5.30. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. We passed about 5 or 6 staff members who were stood around at the entrance chatting. So, should have been good service. Sadly not. Our lady server seemed unable to smile. With us anyway. Though seemingly had no problem with the family who arrived later. We ordered drinks and food. Starters on the whole were fine. Nothing special. Mackerel was nice. Mains arrived. My tuna was good. My husband’s pork dish however was tough and the “crispy pork skin” nowhere to be seen. He said he wasn’t enjoying it, so decided to return it. The survey waitress asked if he would like something else - yes, the tuna please. At least he knew it was good. But no - his second plate arrived and I know tuna should be served rare or medium rare - but this tuna had hardly made acquaintance with the pan. About 1mm of the steak was cooked, the rest was red raw. Nothing like the tuna on my plate, which was cooked all the way through (prob slightly over done if I was being honest). Surely waitress asked if his food was ok - she didn’t really want to hear the answer. Instead walking away as she said “it’s cooked medium rare”. We also had to ask twice for the second round of drinks. Nice view, but it would be much better if someone trained the staff properly.

   All the dishes were lacking flavour. The cauliflower steak was not tasty at all, more feeling the grilled taste than any other. Only the dessert was amazing but that didn’t make the experience any better. The girl serving was really awkward, didn’t get along with the friendly talking we had, always reacted with a silence and no expression at all. Also while speaking, her tone was very rough and beyond direct. It kinda looked like she was like this with us only while with others she was smiling and laughing and being super active. The view of the bridge was lovely but we could also look at the bridge and without being in the restaurant. We had big expectatins for this dinner as it was a special occasion however I wouldn’t repeat.

   We were quite nervous to come here looking at some of the previous reviews but we had a lovely time and I can't understand some of the previous comments. Service was lovely, everyone who interacted with us was very nice and attentive. Atmosphere was amazing and the views of the bridge were stunning. Food was pretty nice - not outstanding sure but absolutely no complaints. Thanks for a nice time☺️

   Gorgeous food and a stunning setting let down by below par service. Our table was marvellously situated in front of the large panoramic windows with views directly towards the Clifton Suspension bridge. It is lit at night and is an incredible feat of engineering. In terms of the food, there was nothing that I could critique, the portions were generous and in our opinion quite reasonable. Total bill - £133 for 3, eating starters and mains inc 2x drinks each. The big let down was the service. Drinks were slow to appear, our starters actually arrived before our first drinks. Once we had finished our mains, service completely stopped and we were ignored. The wait staff were busy around us, serving the tables to either side. Eventually I had to go and find someone so we could pay, we settled and left with our table not cleared. The food and the view are fantastic, but the service needs to improve.

   An absolutely fantastic dining experience. The staff were very friendly, the views over the Avon gorge were amazing and the Sunday roast was to die for. 10/10 well worth a visit.
