   Disappointing and unsatisfactory. I only ordered chips, but they were taken out of the scuttle and looked like they were cold. I tried one before he wrapped them and they were warm ish, definitely not fresh. I asked for fresh ones to be cooked as I had already paid. However, whilst mine were being cooked a few online orders came through and the same old, cold chips were being used for those.

   Visited this place once several weeks ago, all aspects of the visit incredibly unsatisfactory. Tonight I ordered via just eat by mistake as I thought it was another chip shop near by that is fantastic. On this occasion again incredibly poor. Delivery very very late. Food cold with just a slight feel of warmth if you touch it long enough. The batter on the cold fish and cold sausage was soft and doughy. I paid for a LARGE portion of chips but the portion that arrived didn't reach the level of a regular portion yet alone large. Tonight was money wasted at every level. I will stay well clear of this chip shop and most definitely would not recommend it.

   Will not be going here again, visited July 25. Food cold, fish was all thick battered, waiting time over 30 mins and only myself and one other customer in shop. 2 staff so adequate for 2 customers, while waiting for fish chips were already cooked and 5 mins home chips cold. Awful waste of money.

   Bought 3 lots of fish bites and 2 large chips today. Had to wait for them to cook it, but once home and opened, the chips were hard and black in places. Totally inedible. Fish bites had nice fish inside but batter was not crispy, just a greasy soggy texture. Will not be going there again and highly NOT recommended!

   I would give it minus but I can’t! The worst scampi I have ever seen. Chips were dry and tasteless, pie was inedible. We couldn’t even eat it!!!. Received 5 thumbnail size scampi- with no prawns inside. Never again… yuk

   The best fish I've had in caldicot . the food is high quality and crisp . The staff are all incredibly friendly and you can tell they take pride in the food they make. I would recommend to anyone!! Oh and also the kebabs are fantastic.

   I've cycled through Caldicot plenty of times, and never noticed this chippy before, glad I saw it today, the fish was very nice, but the chips were the best I've had maybe ever! Will be having a large portion next time! Even some great tables outside to eat it.

   We visit Caldicot regularly but are not residents. We have never eaten from this take away before and almost didn't due to the reviews on Google. But we are glad we did. The fish and chips were freshly cooked and delicious. A bit pricey but that is becoming the norm in this inflationary world. We would recommend.
