I had a burger and kids had pizzas. The patty was dry and the pulled pork inside the burger was dry too. The bun looked like something i would buy from the local supermarket. Burger definatly not worth £14. The kids pizzas looked good though, and they enjoyed them. Service/bar staff were very friendly though!

We had a really enjoyable experience dining here! The food was nice and the prices are very reasonable for the quality, which made it even better. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. We had a small issue with one of our dishes, but the manager, Matt, handled it brilliantly. He was friendly, professional, and resolved everything quickly with real expertise and care. It’s rare to see someone so committed to making sure guests are happy. Overall, a great restaurant with excellent food, fair prices, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We visited end of may , was not too busy. Got a table with no problems, waiting time for food was OK. Food wasn't bad , nice drinks and cocktails.

Absolutely stunning food, not sure what the older reviews are all about but i just had a cracking meal, super nice fairplay. I would definitely come back. Beer is great aswel with local ale on offer, some top lagers aswel, and with the thatchers factory a few miles up the road theres a great range of at least 4 different ciders offer, just lovely pub grub, really nice.

Booked to eat on our first night as I did not wish to cook. The food was substandard and the drinks overpriced. Also cleanliness was sub par, massive cobweb in the corner (more than a couple of days old), booths needed a good deep clean and areas of the floor had clearly been missed. Will not be eating here again or buying takeaway. The bistro is not a true reflection of the Cheddar Woods site and I feel lets it down considerably.

Exorbitant prices no food mid week (not advised of this when checking in) only 1 item on draught until Friday, chambord liquor off and discoloured, customer service appalling oh and the virtual golf was not working, here for another few nights will stay well clear! Not a good advertisement if you are looking to buy a lodge on site!

Due to Covid the place was empty and that reflected in the food, chips tasted of old oil as did the onion rings. Apart from the taste the chips and onion rings were very crispy Now the steak as you can see most of the steak was inedible as it was mainly gristle but well cooked rare, my wife’s was fine Complained and a new steak brought out well cooked rare again but this time no gristle Felt very safe very good social distancing excellent I can not praise enough One last thing our waitress / server Toula May was brilliant the best social distancing we have ever had at any restaurant attentive but not intruding and very friendly

We were staying at Longmead Lodges across the road from Cheddar Resorts. The website says open to the public. We went and specifically checked with reception if we could order food and collect as we had a very poorly 4 month old baby so were arranging a hot meal for the following evening. At the time they were running a delivery service to th2 lodges on site. She said not a problem and gave us a menu. The next day we called the bistro to order and arrange for us to collect, the manager was rude, unapologetic, said reception shouldn't have said that and thats not his problem. Residents staying on site ONLY allowed. Told us to go find a takeaway in the area! When I outlined our situation and that we had specifically come and asked he didn't care and still refused to take an order from us. After telling him how upset I was and how much we were looking forward to it he put the phone down on me. Empathetic. NOT
