The chips were good but I got a cheesy chips and the size was so tiny! It was £4.70 and I was left hungry. Staff were friendly

Very disappointed, I have recommended this shop several times to my clients and family but on thus occasion not only did we get a hostile welcome before shop was open but then I was shouted at by manager/owner when I was asking a question about the size of the fish and could I have it separate due to my daughter not being able to eat fish. Her staff members were not even able to continue answering my questions

Atrocious. It’s one thing to pay nearly £20.00 for 2 small cod and chips, and then be expected to carry out the food with boxes stacked in your arms unless you cough up another 15p for a bag. Both pieces of cod, raw in the middle, the batter appeared to be cooked on the outside but on cutting into the fish it was saturated in yellow Dijon mustard coloured raw batter mix. That mixed with a healthy dose of blue roll fragments in the chips resulted in the whole meal going in the bin. An absolute disgrace!!!

we had perfect fish and chips which we eat on The Esplanade, sitting in our camper watching the sunset.

Shocked by their customer service last night. Never met such a rude women, such a shame to see a amazing chip shop get ruined. After seeing another review I couldn’t agree more, my pies were stone cold n not cooked properly. If you can’t do a pie just say instead of serving a freezing cold pie.

Never met such a rude arrogant women, you’re not Gordon Ramsey so there’s no need to shout n scream at your young staff members. Further more our pies were stone cold not even cooked properly, slimes n vile. Charged us for cheesey chips with no cheese. Would not recommend one bit. Maybe treat your staff nicer n they won’t look so miserable.

Excellent fish & chips. The chips were fluffy and not greasy. The fish was really fresh and chunky with delicious batter. My pet hate is stale oil in the fryer and this tasted like the oil had been very recently changed. Not the cheapest but still good value for money. Would go again next time we’re in town.
