Location and drinks were nice but the food was terrible standard for the price, very small and poor quality. This is meant to be a steak burger for £17.

Did not expect to get in on such a busy day so a real bonus. Asked speculatively if any chance of a table for a wheelchair. Was immediately shown disabled place we could park and ramp put straight down at front door. Was told they were busy so expected a wait for food but came quickly and piping hot. Lovely chips!! But best of all was the helpfulness of staff, will definitely go back.

We recently had our Christmas meal at The Salthouse Bar and Restaurant for a group of 25 staff members, and the experience was fantastic. The team were incredibly organised, friendly, and accommodating from start to finish. The service ran smoothly, the food was delicious, and nothing was too much trouble. They made the whole evening enjoyable and stress-free for such a large group. Highly recommended!

The Salthouse Bar is a great place with a fun and lively atmosphere. The staff are friendly and quick to serve, and the drinks selection is really good — from cocktails and beers to spirits and wines. The music and vibe make it perfect for a night out with friends, and it often gets busy in the best way. The place is clean, modern and has a nice mix of seating areas inside and out. Always a good time here — great drinks, great people, and a great atmosphere every visit.

What a fantastic spot! The Salthouse is a charming, historic pub and restaurant perched right on Clevedon’s coast. The views over Marine Lake, the Victorian pier, and even Wales are spectacular—especially from the lovely outdoor patio. The food is fresh, flavourful, and affordably priced—whether you're after a hearty classic or something lighter, there's always something delicious on offer, with daily specials to try. The bar is well stocked and the service is warm and welcoming . The setting is incredibly family-friendly and inclusive—including dog-friendly areas, a play area for kids, and accessible seating. On summer days the BBQ is fired up and adds to the relaxed, community vibe. Live music on weekends makes it feel vibrant and alive. All in all, The Salthouse offers a perfect blend of scenic atmosphere, thoughtful hospitality, and quality food—ideal for a casual lunch, a relaxed dinner, or a special gathering. Highly recommend this gem!

Wanted to come here for a great pint and I did! It's a really lovely local pub and restaurant, gorgeous setting by the sea/Clevedon Marine Lake front with stunning views. Lots of outdoors seating, lovely decorated inside, spacious, clean, great proper cask ale, the food menu looks good and competitively priced and, the locally made cakes are delicious...my chocolate Muffin was to die for! The staff were very friendly, welcoming and delightful, big smiles and Sophie was lovely. Also met Gary the landlord owner outside in the carpark who seemed very helpful with my car battery dilemma and offered to help if I had problems. Gary explained how the parking system works and that I'd get a refund off the bill when I ordered a drink or food off etc. Definitely worth remembering to get your car registration entered on the camera controlled carpark machine and it's £3 (coins only) for three hours but Gary or the staff will refund you this off the bill! Thanks to you all for such a great place and experience. Will be back definitely as the food on the menu looked delicious and very competitively priced. Recommend a visit here when next in the Clevedon seafront promenade and area..

Food was good, the garden was great, a bit windy but not anyone’s fault! The menu was a bit limited and ordering outside was a bit complicated.

Fantastic food, service! We popped in after our Boxing Day swim, despite us being visibly Muslim it was very very friendly and we all felt at ease. The crowd was also smiley and jolly. The servers were also very polite and attentive, Perhaps it was Boxing Day spirit or perhaps it was just a lovely place to enjoy dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed my vegan chicken burger and the calamari. Absolutely beautifully done and would go back just for that. Portions were also very generous and we all felt full after.

Had lovely meal and service here on Wednesday evening. There were four of us and we all really enjoyed our meal. Chips best I’ve had in a long time!

We visited during a heatwave, yet the staff were very helpful and double checked menu items for our son who has a nut allergy. While we waited for our food, enjoying a drink, the children played in the Salthouse's adventure playground which has a wooden teepee, play train, car etc and picnic tables. We had burgers for dinner in toasted brioche buns, with sides of chips and salad, the children ordered from the kids menu - all dishes were delicious and we left very content customers. Would highly recommend The Salthouse and if ever we visit Clevedon again, we'll definitely back.
