“My Mum has been at the Hawthorns for a year now and it has been fantastic, such a great location right by the sea. All the staff are amazing, working very hard whilst always being friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. My Mum finds it very reassuring to always have someone on hand for either a question or just a chat. The Hawthorns is very well managed, from cleaning, maintenance and communication to trips and events. It feels efficient yet homely and there is always a buzz around the coffee hub as residents gather for a chat. I now have peace of mind that my Mum lives somewhere where she can still be independent yet has help around if she needs it. Thanks to everyone at the Hawthorns, you do a brilliant job.”

As a gourmet, I cannot fault all of the food and service that was served to me during my time here. Traveled 1hr30min to dine here and I wasn’t disappointed at all. “We were on business nearby and wanted coffee and a breakfast roll. The local Tesco does not have a cafe and there was nothing else we could find except this. It's the restaurant inside a caravan/chalet park and it's up a rickety road but well worth it. They are happy to serve non residents and the coffee was excellent. Good start to the day”

“Visited Escala on a Friday night. From the get go the atmosphere was lovely. We had a lovely lady seat us. We ordered a nice bottle of white wine and browsed the menu. The menu has a selection of great choices. Every dish we had was stunning - attached photos with what it is. Really recommend the scallops & sprouts!!”

“Found this gem of a place today & will 100% be returning! The burger & chips were insane, we also had a couple of sides - butter chicken & garlic bread like I’ve never had before!! Really reasonably priced, you have to add the chips on separately but £10ish for a burger then add the chips on for £3, your looking at £13 for a meal which is very reasonably priced for the quality of food! The milkshakes were amazing & was gutted we were too full for pudding as they looked incredible!! The guy serving who I think was the manager was absolutely brilliant! You could tell he had a passion for his job & a credit to this place! Great for children too which is hard to find now a days with the games room! We will be returning with our girls & this place really needs to branch out to other places it will do so well! Thanks so much for a fantastic lunch!”

“Excellent communication leading up to the event and dealt with our queries quickly. The outside event space was perfect and beautifully set up on a lovely sunny afternoon. We had a personalised drinks menu which was a lovely touch. We pre ordered food in advance and it was excellent-large portions and very tasty. Service was amazing -always there offering drinks and our every need was dealt with efficiently. Would highly recommend -every part of our celebration was perfect. Thank you Murray’s”

“Love this spot! Nice chill place to grab a bite after work, with good prices on the collection deals which I’m always after haha. BBQ chicken and bacon pizza is the go to in my opinion but the wraps are always made fresh and spot on too. Also Ron is the most welcoming dude you’ll ever meet, and if you order when he’s working you can be sure your meal and service will be spot on! 10/10 pizza spot and 10/10 guys!!”

“We all had a fantastic evening at the Pear Orchard (The Hollow) Myself and my siblings arranged a surprise Anniversary for our parents 55 years! The evening was perfect in every way. Highly recommend venue. The memories we made and the fun we had in a hidden gem in Kingston Seymour will be treasured forever. “Had a great experience at Moguls in Clevedon. The staff were really friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and comfortable. The restaurant itself was spotless and nicely presented, clean, cozy, and with a lovely atmosphere. Now onto the food, absolutely delicious. I ordered the Bengal Massala, keema rice, and a cheese chilli naan bread, and every dish was spot on. The Bengal Massala was packed with flavour, rich, slightly spicy with just the right balance of sweetness and heat. You could taste the depth of the spices, and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The keema rice was a great accompaniment, full of savoury minced lamb that added extra flavour to each bite without overpowering the main dish. But the real standout for me was the cheese chilli naan bread. Soft, fluffy, and loaded with gooey cheese and just the right kick of chilli heat. It had such a kick that I ended up ordering a second naan just to keep up – it was spicy but so addictive. All in all, a fantastic meal and great service. Definitely recommend Moguls if you’re in the Clevedon area and craving a quality curry night”

“I was on my own and having never visited before, I entered via the spiral staircase at the top level, not knowing there was a level entrance below! You order and pay at the till. I luckily had a seat indoors, by the entrance, at a table for 2, facing the pier. Best seat in the house in my opinion, especially if on your own. as what a view! The service and food was outstanding, generous portions, and delicious coffee. The waiting staff checked that everything was OK with my meal. I had no complaints at all. It did become very busy and by the time I left every table was taken. I'm glad I arrived relatively early. (12.15ish) I have recommended it to friends and family if they are in the area.”

“This is a fantastic place to visit it has lots of different options apart from the brilliant Zoo ,including a food outlets and several different play themed activities for children,including soft play,parks,trampolines. The zoo side the animals have some of the best enclosure I have seen in a zoo,with lots of outdoor areas for them to roam they seem very content. It’s also has several places for a quick pit stop to get refreshments also several toilets . The only thing I wasn’t happy about was the soft play structure it looks like a converted barn it’s brilliant inside with well planned and built amenities but my concern is the roof,it’s asbestos corrugated sheeting (I noticed the animals indoor building has corrugated metal sheeting ) I can’t understand why asbestos has been used. Whilst its use can pose a risk if in any way it breaks down,all materials eventually deteriorates,whilst a small risk ,I really can’t understand its use especially in a children’s environment.”
