   Played pool in the league last monday, what a quirky little place! Great outdoor area, loved the inside. Great variety of beers. I dont think they serve food. Lovely pool table

   We stopped in for a lunch after I had popped it on my list of pubs to go back and eat at. The ploughman’s was lovely. There were a great range of ciders and ales on offer including Rich’s, Ashton Press and a swathe of Thatchers exquisite offerings. Butcombe, Proper Job and Otter to name just three fine ales. The indoor seating offers a rustic and traditional setting with a lovely big fireplace. It must be great in the winter. There is plenty of outdoor seating available too. All in all, a really nice place to stop for a great pint or bite to eat. I actually visited twice that day!

   What a shame. We arrived with hungry kiddos, waited behind people who ordered their lunch and at 2:34 got to the front - to be told lunch finished at 230. The woman was so unpleasant. Even the customers sitting there were shocked. How odd not to want the custom - it was only sandwiches anyway and they were on the counter. What a shame - we drove out of our way as it looked so lovely and we like to support independent pubs. Not very welcoming or lovely at all.

   Old world pub with an excellent selection of cider and beer. Snacks are good also with some decent lunch offerings. Garden is quiet and the pub is fantastic to look around.

   Amazing 14th Century Pub in a quiet village, well worth the stop if in the area. We were on a village pub vacation, finding this gem was well worth the country roads.

   Lovely ancient pub with huge inglenook fireplace, two main rooms, beers on gravity and hand pump, real ciders. Good pub grub plus rolls, ploughman’s and chips as snacks. Outdoor spaces and large car park.
