It was my birthday so visited for the second time and this time, as well as the previous time, the fish and chips have been fantastic. Very large portions for £10.40 and well cooked. Chips are proper and batter is crispy, you even get a wedge of lemon, which is a nice (free) extra. I did confuse the young lady on the til as I cannot stand fish and chips in cardboard boxes so asked for no box (I tend to be able to taste cardboard). I don't think she could grasp what I meant. However, the more mature lady (I am very polite) remembered me from the first time and knew what I wanted. I even weighed the meal and it was just over 1kg!! Will definitely be going again, but not too soon or I will end up fatter - LOL....... UPDATE PHOTOS AFTER EACH VISIT. UPDATE - Fish and chips now £11.20 UPDATE - Price for fish and chips now (13/09/25) £11.70. Same price on 15/11/25.

Stopped off on the drive back to the Midlands and grabbed some lovely fish and chips. Decent mushy peas and the chips/fish didn’t have masses of grease either, which is always a good thing. Nice to take down to the front and then walk off afterwards.

Portions for adults are great sizes. Portions for children are massive. Our small children could have shared one kids meal between them. Gluten free provision was fantastic. Nothing was too soggy or greasy. Great takeaway!
