I ordered a chicken chopsuey, it was basically beansprouts with sweet and sour sauce, and chicken mince. It was awful.
Its a Chinese takeaway that we have used many times over the years, great service & great food choices, some specials of the menu board & can cater very well for Gluten Free. The staff are friendly, polite & most helpful when adapting our meals to GF. We can not fault them, they are amazing & so a big Thanks goes out to the New Century team.
I’ve been here several times, to be honest it was my favourite Chinese since moving to Clevedon. But after our experience this evening, we will never be returning. £6.90 for these chicken skewers and they’re dry and half the size of the width of my finger. The seaweed was £5.60 and the portion size looked half full. Had to return it because I was so shocked at how awful the dish was and didn’t even get an apology!!! Had to get a refund for the dish and that was only given because of how busy the shop was full of people, otherwise she would not have as she was very reluctant and SO rude. Not one apology! You’ve just lost loyal customers.
Crunches spring roles, tastiest noodles, crispiest chilli beef. The best Chinese in Clevedon.
First time ordering from New Century and won't again unfortunately. Extremely small portions and bland flavours.
Haven’t been here in a while but it used to be the best one. I didn’t ring ahead as I was passing. Only a short wait and food was great.Beef was not fatty or stringy like some places.Card payment accepted.Hygiene rating 5/5.I’ve had another 2 family meals from here and all consistently good.
Not especially memorable. Both our local Chinese takeaways were closed so this was simply the nearest one open. Food was acceptable and actually ready at the time they told us. No complaints, but not superior enough to justify the drive to the next town.
UPDATE: having not visited this place in a while, I thought I would give it another go. The chips, pictured, have clearly been heated up from a previous day - they were disgusting. Also the satay chicken that was ordered was just as dry and horrible. I will not recommended nor visit this place again. AVOID!
