NOT FOR INDIAN FOOD LOVERSS!! I recently visited this restaurant and was quite disappointed. The food was very basic in both taste and presentation nothing special or authentic about it. The flavors lacked the richness and depth youβd expect from real Indian cuisine. To make things worse, the prices were surprisingly high for such simple dishes. It definitely doesnβt offer good value for money. I wouldnβt recommend this place to anyone who truly enjoys or understands Indian food. There are far better options out there that serve genuine flavors at a much more reasonable price.

To start with positive things. The staff we friendly and the starter wasn't bad at all. The main course (garlic chilli chicken) and vegetable dish (bindi bhaji) were possibly the worst curries I've had at a restaurant. I was very disappointed, especially considering how dear the meal was.

Food was abysmal. We went in for a small bite to eat as we weren't too hungry but were told that there was a minimum order of 1 main and 1 side per person which was written in very small writing at the bottom of the menu. We ordered one poppadom and were asked if we wanted a pickle tray which was not stated on the menu so I assumed it was free which it is in most Indian restaurants, but imagine my surprise when the bill comes and its Β£2.95 for a pickle tray. We ordered a sag chicken and a chicken biryani. The chicken was so dry and overcooked that we left most of it untouched. The same can be said about the rice. Both the chicken and the rice left our mouths dry. We also has a garlic naan, which was probably the best part of the meal. The staff and environment were pretty nice and did give off a fine dining vibe, but when serving the food, was nothing like fine dining. It was by far the worst Indian food I have ever experienced, and yet the most expensive. I usually would not leave a negative review, but I must warn future customers. That being said maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but no Indian restaurant that charges that much should have chicken that dry. Would not recommend.

Went with family. Had reserved as I thought it would be busy (Bath, Friday night) at 7:30pm. When we turned up, no other diners were there, which made the atmosphere slightly perturbing. The staff were excellent. Very cordial. They have this dolly system for the food which is fun to watch. Food wise, this is a standard British Indian restaurant. Onion Bahjis, too much batter. Over powered the taste of the onion. Peshwari Naan, very good actually. Tasted like it was made to order. Very good. Lamb curry: Nice - plenty of veg and lamb pieces. Rice was also well cooked. Just missed something extra that would have pushed it over the edge. More complex use of spices perhaps? Chocolate dessert: Poor/middiling. Defiantly from a packet - not fresh. Could taste preservatives.

A busy Saturday night in a quaint underground restaurant that reminded me of the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars. Private booths with incredible service and fantastic food. I couldn't recommend anywhere better to have Indian food whilst in Bath!

Literally one of the best curryβs iβve ever had in my life. Food for 2 (a lot of food) prepared in less than 10-15 minutes. Flavour was a 10/10, easy to order over to phone etc. We are beyond happy and we will be ordering again very soon. Thank you so much!!

Hidden gem in Bath! Visited with family for dinner (6 adults). We were seated quickly and served promptly. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Toilets are quirky due to the location of the restaurant but are clean and tidy. It was busy when we visited which only goes to show that it is a good restaurant. A service charge was added to our bill, I prefer to leave a top of my own choice than be told what to contribute. Would recommend to others.

We had a very pleasant evening out at this restaurant which balanced limited space with atmosphere and safety. The food was delicious and the staff courteous and pleasant at all times. Food was well priced. For fans of curry, this will provide and good night out.
