Fantastic classes for those not confident. That’s about as good as it gets All the toilets smell like wee Minimal women’s toilets now all the work is going on - constantly a queue and cleanliness is appalling Partner cancelled membership and because I reinstated mine, they took it as “both” conveniently: now a 3 month wait for him to cancel again. Not lenient at all despite it being their own mistake. Don’t waste your money! Far too overpriced
My partner and i joined on a two weeks membership, the gym itself is very basic with only few machines for only some part of the muscles and some of them like the leg extension is very hard to adjust the seat ,and the pin wouldn’t move easily, some of the trade miles are not working , The steam room is cold most of the time and I informed the staff but nothing has been done and the floor is full of sludge and dirty. The tap outside the steam room is always warm . The jacoozy is full of chemicals that will always burn the eyes, With the membership fee and compare to other david lloyd its not worth it and I would not recommend it to anyone.
I visited David Lloyd Cheshire Oaks today for a business meeting and had a Caesar salad for lunch. My friend had them me a salad and they were cooked to perfection and excellent quality food. Thank you to the chefs Zoe and Julie and Keilly for table service.
Two stars as the PT team are the only redeeming feature. We joined online as a family and in the three visits we saw all we needed. Unkempt and tired changing facilities. Men vaping in the sauna and using their mobiles poolside indoors. Lifeguard knew who it was when I raised it but did nothing. On the last visit a rather rude and perhaps overly zealous female lifeguard gave me a dressing down for not alerting her that we were going to use the outdoor pool. Sadly telepathy isn't in my skill remit and there's no signs so.... Once I tried to cancel had no response from the head office team and the receptionist has just said "Nothing I can do. You'll have to wait for them." For over £170 a month I expect a clean and tidy premier gym without folks vaping and filming on mobiles in the sauna area. I'd also expect a little more manners and professionalism from staff. And if someone could back to me this century to take the cancellation, well, that would be a bonus. Glorified pure gym with a cafe but 8 times the price.
Visited David Lloyds Cheshire Oake for the first time. No where to park. Pretty poor experience, pool was rammed with children, one lane reserved for swimming, also packed with adults trying to swim. Was impossible so just got back out after 10 mins. Jacuzzi was cold. And steam room wasn't even close to being hot enough. Waste of time. Wouldnt visit this place again.
Monthly fee increased for absolutely no reason. What a robbery!!! This is actually preventing me from signing 2 other family members… So you are stealing £10 extra every month and you are losing £60 (actually more because baby classes cost £5 every time he attends). SPA is always with an issue. The small pool always cold Absolute shame. Ps: I’ll leave a bad review every time I step in the club. This is a promise UPDATE: when you called me the tone was different: “sorry if this doesn’t work… we are working to fix that… yes the pool was cold… apologies if the SPA have issues…” Unfortunately there is nothing further to discuss because I already received a phone call in regard to this. All it was about is “We can’t do this… we can’t to that… we can’t do…” I even asked if there was a way to pay just to play tennis because there is nothing else I’m interested in but guess what?! You can’t do this!! Consistency… you cannot
Went as a guest really enjoyed it loads of space, was able to use the gym equipment I wanted to use, loved the steam room but could do with another jacuzzi as it was always full every time I tried to use it. The food and service was good to.
I have been a member at david lloyds for about a year now, i love it. the price is steeper than i originally expected but ever since i’ve been paying it has been a great experience. i wouldn’t go to any other place to go to the gym. once you’ve found the right times to go there it’s very quiet. the staff are always very friendly, they all make sure to greet you as you walk in and always make sure to say goodbye when you leave. i haven’t taken any classes yet because i am more focused on the gym. i have tried their protein shakes and they are top tier (recommended “oats so fruity”) every time i go to david lloyds i always leave happier than when i came in.
The club is a little neglected compared to the others. Just a few things worn down, Some staff there are absolutely exceptional though. And the facilities of any david lloyd club is always amazing from the tennis courts to the pool and spa facilities. However again these seem to always have a fault from the heat beds not being on, to the Sauna not getting hot correctly and the hot tub not functioning properly. These problems do seem to get fixed quite sharpish, However you don't expect to see this many problems happening when your membership price is as high as what it is. Bottom line is the Club is good and does have some excellent customer service. The gym overall is nice and the equipment is fairly new, However if your not looking to take up the use of the tennis courts or sports facilities. Your probably best signing onto total fitness. I However am a member and will continue to be as the main reason is I want to work on my tennis skills whilst making the use of the pool and spa facilities
