Couldn't believe I heard a member of staff behind the counter tell a lady who was clearly a new mother, trying to exchange an item to "get out my shop, I'm not swapping anything for you ya fat cow". Needless to say my wife and I turned and walked straight out.

This was my first visit to the Silverburn store today and the customer service could be friendlier by a country mile. I was made to feel incredibly stupid and embarrassed for asking to add on my ‘loyalty’ points for my purchases. The woman serving me side eyed her colleague who took over the conversation with a condescending attitude. I was sneered and snootily told I didn’t qualify for points because my items were SALE and I was already getting a discount. I was left feeling mortified for asking even though I’ve spent hundreds of pounds between Braehead and the Forge since spring last year. There are ways to explain exclusions from promotions and todays sales assistants failed miserably on their customer service techniques and are poor ambassadors for this store. On this occasion it’s not the ‘points’ it’s the principle! Dont make LOYAL customers feel cheap and undervalued. I don’t think I will be back anytime soon :(
