Sadly a poor experience, checkout staff immediately very abrupt and rude unclear why. Was completely blanked and shut down when trying to be polite to them.

Went to this store yesterday after the doctor told me to buy cyclizine over the counter. The lady at the pharmacy said they don’t stock it, looked online afterwards and it shows it in stock at this store! Very unhelpful and I’ll probably now be very ill when they had my medication (she didn’t even look!)

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience because this isn't the first time I have left this branch feeling disappointed. I went in to collect a Click & Collect order and buy two items in-store. When I mentioned both at the till, the staff member abruptly said, “Just wait till I finish this, I can’t do both at the same time.” It wasn’t just the words—it was the tone. It felt dismissive and sharp, almost like “duh.” As someone who is neurodivergent and naturally quite shy, that kind of interaction really throws me off. I felt flustered and anxious, and just wanted to leave quickly. When I got home, I excitedly opened the box—only to realise I’d been given the wrong order entirely. I hadn't even noticed the name on the label at the till, and I now realise it’s probably because I felt so rushed and uncomfortable. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt disheartened at this store. On a previous visit, I checked online and saw a product listed as in stock. They tend not to answer the phone, so I decised to visit the store. When I couldn’t find it on the shelf, I asked if someone could check their stock inventory online or in the back. I was told, “If it isn’t on the shelf, it’s gone,” and when I mentioned that the website said it was available, the response was simply, “Yeah, don’t trust what it says online.” The store wasn’t even particularly busy, which made the unwillingness to help feel even worse. I’m not someone who expects over-the-top service—just basic kindness and support when needed. Sadly, I don't feel I experience that at this branch. I hope this feedback encourages a little reflection, because this experience left me anxious, disappointed, and reluctant to shop at Boots.

I just came out of Boots purley way store. Think I need to warn people there is no air conditioning and there are barely any staff. No staff at the pharmacy to advise on medicines apart from the actual pharmacists who are making them and too busy for customers and one staff member on the main tills. She was lovely thus my 2 stars but there was a huge queue in the heat and no sign of any other staff. They're clearly trying to cut back and save money.

Boots seems like its stopped growing, caring. The pharmacy closes at 5pm so basically if you work then there is no chance of getting a prescription! Products are the same boring and giving the upper hand to one or two brands..... good costumer service tho

Like most places, why do people take child and parent bay if they don't have a child. I believe there should be a restrict polices on child and parent bay as similar to Disable bay. Otherwise the store was OK. There is plenty of free parking. An free ATM next to boots.

I have just been to the Boots in Valley Park, Croydon and I am appalled at the temperature of the building. It is absolutely freezing, in fact when I left I am sure it was warmer outside. It is unbelievable that Boots who prides itself on people's wellbeing has its staff working in such appalling conditions. I am sure if the temperature was taken it would be illegal for staff to work at that temperature. I asked staff how long has the heating not been working and was told several days. Where is the Union representing these people, they should not be working in such conditions. Pull your socks up Boots.

Well mannered place, consist of a range of wonderful product and staff, but during time of a “busy period” I would highly recommend there should be some more staff to assist with the customers other than that wonderful place to go to for all needs

Huge range in this store but not is to find what you want. The pharmacy is open for reduced hours maybe staff shortage. The staff are help were friendly and knowledgeable.
