Avoid at all costs. Zero empathy and First Aid skills. Worst experience ever. On the morning of the 31st of January, I fell 5 mins from this pharmacy. I hit my left knee very hard, to the point my tights were ripped and blood was streaming from the open wound. I was in a shock and on the brink of fainting. Besides a woman who stopped to help me stand up, no one helped me. I sat at the bus stop and then decided to look for a pharmacy to see whether they could help me. There were two options, this one and Santas. I went to this because there were 4.9 stars. (Disclaimer - All businesses *by law* are required to have an First Aid Kit, let alone a pharmacy where - supposedly - they should also be trained in first aid. ) How silly and naive I was. I entered the shop and the first person I encountered, a tall and lanky man with a moustache and glasses, when I asked whether they could help me as I was injured, gave me an antiseptic spray and asked off the bat to pay Β£3.50. No empathy; a question about how I was feeling or whether I was OK. Just a hard sale. Then I went to the till, where a half-veiled lady, didn't even bother asking if they could help, just went on to sell me *one* plaster and they almost wanted to make me pay for a tissue to clean my wound. I was shocked by both acts, but I paid for them. Then she told me I could sit on a stool they use to stack up shelves - not even one of the two chairs they have - or an other high chair where it would have been impossible for me to self-medicate me, consider they didn't even bother to offer me *any help*. I was in shock, trying not to faint, but I was so gobsmacked by this attitude. I was really angry at the absurdity of the situation. I didn't look dishevelled, I was smartly dressed, and definitely you could not pass me for a junkie or someone who wanted to cause trouble to the establishment. I medicated myself and then went to leave. At that point, a white guy wearing a sweater and a beanie hat with shoulder length hair, who works there and was serving another customer during my ordeal and presumably witnessed my interaction with the other two people asked how I felt - the first and only person there who did (!) and when I replied that I was still under shock and felt still fainting told me to wait. He went searching for a liquid iron pouch and gave it to me, explaining that this would have helped me not faint. It was very human and a nice gesture. It is the only thing that I would save from that place, that guy and his humanity and compassion. They do not deserve it. Avoid this establishment at all costs. When even a pharmacyβ€”where compassion and basic care should be a givenβ€”fails to provide the most fundamental support in a moment of need, it raises serious concerns about their values and priorities. No one should risk being treated with such disregard and lack of empathy, especially when vulnerable. I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of this place and protect themselves from the same appalling treatment. I really wonder why it has 4.9 stars, as what these people showed deserves 0 stars - bar the nice guy.

I’ve used Nuchem many times over the years that I’ve lived close by. I’ve always found the staff friendly and helpful and I’ve always been given advice quickly. Would recommend if you live in the area.

Lots of quality products, French skincare brands and they often give free samples. Staff are welcoming and helpful. One critique, the front of the pharmacy looks very messy and uninviting.
