   I have been using this pharmacy for about 7 years and was my nominated pharmacy until I gave birth , but today I had an experience that left me feeling uncomfortable. The receptionist (a white lady wearing glasses) handled my family’s prescriptions. I am epileptic and medically exempt from prescription charges, and we had two prescriptions,one for me and one for my partner. When she asked, “Do you pay for prescriptions?” I replied that I don’t, but my husband does. Instead of politely asking why I am exempt, she commented, “Oh, how sad that your husband has to pay.” Before I could explain my exemption, she then asked, “Are you still on maternity?” I showed my medical exemption card, paid for my husband’s prescription, and left feeling upset. As an NHS worker myself , I understand staff may be under pressure, but this interaction felt insensitive and unprofessional. The comments about my husband and my exemption were unnecessary and made me feel singled out, especially as a brown person. I hope the pharmacy reviews their customer service approach to ensure all patients are treated respectfully and sensitively.

   Great experience here! The doctor was really kind, listened carefully, and explained everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable. The pharmacy staff were just as helpful—friendly, quick, and made sure I understood my prescription before leaving. The place is clean, organized, and you can tell they really care about patients. Highly recommend both the doctor and the pharmacy team!

   Had a great experience at BR Lewis specifically with pharmacist Hana, myself and my partner both hate needles and needed our travel vaccinations, she really took the time and patience for us including giving us lollipops. Highly recommend for vaccinations and at a fair price too, thank you again :)

   Best ever Chemist with a caring Pharmacist. Hannah saved me. I was prescribed wrong dose and Hannah picked it up. She even tried to call my Gp. I did get through and they accepted their mistake .Thank you Hannah you are the Best. I Love BR Lewis Chemist .

   Customer service assistants need to realise they are not doctors, especially the young girl with glasses. There's plenty of chemists in the area, so I'm surprised you can afford to lose customers. I would give this place a miss if I were you.

   I have been with this chemist for a while now and after trial and error of others I have found B R Lewis to be the best. Very quick and efficient, mostly always have the stuff in i require, have a very varied stock and offer a lot of services. Staff are very friendly i highly recommend.
