What a shame the owner (manager?) arrived with his three small, loud, pushy, uncontrolled dogs. I was trying to get my nervous dog used to cafes so went first thing when it was quiet. The dogs barged in barking at him. They were taken into the kitchen, which didn’t do much for my confidence in their food hygiene practices, then when we sat down in the next room they appeared again, barking and rushing up to us. So we moved outside to sit on the benches. And one of the dogs appeared again, barking at us. The owner made half-hearted attempts to get the dogs inside but it was too late. All that hard work undone in a few minutes. Not so dog friendly after all.

We hosted my 4 year olds birthday party at the tree top cafe recently and it was fabulous! The food was great quality and value for money for the kids, and the coffee and cake great for the adults. The older kids went upstairs to the bubbling toad for a potion party too which was the perfect combination. Thanks to Sylvia for the fantastic service and attention to detail ❤️

Amazing home made sandwiches, cheese scones and broccoli soup. Silvia is a very talented baker and cook. Wish we could have tried all the tray bakes and cakes too. Looked delicious. Really lovely setting in Vogrie Park. Well worth a visit. Dogs very welcome also. Thank you Silvia for making us so welcome!

Our first visit. Nice simple well run cafe - great cakes and scones and good coffee. Dog friendly with dog biscuits and water freely available. ( And properly dog friendly not just "dog tolerant" like other places we've visited!) - This cafe is a bit of a hidden gem - better sign posting especially from the main car park would be a good idea! We got lost initially! But we will return to explore further.

It was a sunny day so we sat outside with our dogs. The menu had lots of choices and was very reasonably priced. Ordered toasties and arrived fairly quickly with lovely fresh salad and delicious coleslaw. Would definitely come back here again.

We had a birthday party here for a 1 year old and a 3 year old and it was brilliant. We were allowed in earlier to set up balloons and banners etc and the staff even helped us with the decorating. Our dietary requirements were quite complex but the staff were brilliant and the food was above and beyond what we expected! We were so happy with how it turned out. The soft play section of the cafe is separated from the rest of the cafe with a gate. The soft play itself is the perfect size for soft play with little ones so you can sit and have a coffee but still have them in eye sight at all times. There are also little ride-on cars and a plastic slide so plenty for toddlers to play with. There's plenty high chairs as well. The setting is lovely within the old Vogrie house and the main cafe section is also dog friendly (not the soft play). They have vegan options on the menu too which is always appreciated. Be aware it is a decent walk from the main car park to the cafe (5-10) mins and there are steps at the front so buggies would have to be left outside.

This place has way worse rating than the one it should, it should be at least 4.5, why? Here is a breakdown: 1. Food is delicious, and toasties are REALLY full of cheese and fresh 2. Tables and view to the park provide a nice and relaxing environment 3. There is a space dedicated for kids and tables on its side so parents can take their kids without being concerned of them running away from the area, because it is gated. 4. Service is great, but as is run by not many people, if you are in a hurry for a coffee, this might not be your place, but at the same time, if you are not in a hurry then is perfectly fine. 5. Dogs are allowed inside, so you don't have to leave your buddy/girl outside in the rain. 6. Is cheap Give it a shot, just be patient and be nice to the ladies that serve there.

We had a lovely Christmas Party at Tree Top Cafe for under fives. They have a soft play and ride on cars which the children loved playing with. There is plenty of space in the party room and the staff were very helpful offering to move tables and help with decorating. Although they already had plenty of decorations up already and even made up lovely festive lunchboxes for the little ones with a few treats in too! Booking the party was very straightforward and the staff were so helpful throughout. Definitely recommend!
