My visit here was extremely quick. I seen a pistachio stuffed cookie in the window so went in, was greeted by a lovely lady, got my cookie and off I went. Less than 60s I’d say. Unfortunately the cookie didn’t live up to much. The cookie was too mushy in the middle and the pistachio flavour was sickly sweet and tasted quite artificial. Disappointing really. They do have a large selection of cookies and other sweet treats so maybe I just chose the wrong item.

If I lived in the Old Town, I'd be here every day. I had a Scottish Full Breakfast and a Cappuccino, which were perfect. With the added bonus of being welcome by friendly, efficient staff.

I tried the pistachio cookie, which was wonderfully gooey and indulgent – definitely one I’d recommend. That said, the cookie base had quite a floury texture that could be improved for a more balanced bite. The price point overall felt a little high for what you get. We also ordered the strawberry and basil spritz, which sounded refreshing, but unfortunately the basil was completely missing and the drink was overwhelmed by too much ice. The Eggs Benedict portion was surprisingly small, especially compared to the pancakes, which were far more generous. The biggest letdown, however, was the overall upkeep of the café. The bathroom was in a shocking state, and the paintwork and décor throughout the space are in serious need of updating. The amount of accumulated dust and dirt is off-putting, particularly in a food establishment. With some attention to detail and care for the space, this could be a much more enjoyable spot.

I got the Bueno Cookie and it was much bigger than expected! The Bueno filling was delicious, but the cookie itself wasn’t very sweet and had a slight floury taste. I did enjoy the cakey texture. Chunkier hazelnuts and more white chocolate bits throughout would’ve taken it up a notch but overall, it was fine.

So glad I found good coffee in Edinburgh (and I'm picky being a barista) ❤️ cosy place to sit in as well. They also have lactose-free coffee options and a few pastries to choose from. Simply delicious, I'm delighted! Friendly service, I'm definitely coming back :)

A great little place to shelter from the rain and enjoy a warm cup of coffee and a fabulously tasty treat. We got a flat white and a giant Nutella cookie. The cookies are soft like CA and decorated with delicious toppings. Swing in. Grab something. Sweets. Sandwich. Tea. Coffee. Enjoy yourself!

We were looking for a spot for breakfast. The café only offers a few tables, mostly only for two people. The lady at the bar seemed very stressed and in a hurry. The food and the coffee were good. Many people just pass by for takeaway. Therefore it can get very busy and uncomfortable.

Nice coffee shop. It has a lovely interior and the barista was friendly. They also have a nice selection of alternative mills which are good if you have a lactose intolerance. The coffees themselves are also very delicious. It’s also reasonably priced. I would recommend this place.
