   The tables are dirty, instead of napkins they offer to tear off a piece of a blue roll and the most incredible thing: 3 people at the cash register made my latte in 8 minutes, considering that I was alone and there was no busy time.

   I was the only customer in the entire shop, and the cappuccino I got was an absolute joke. The “foam” was so stiff a spoon could stand up in it — not creamy, not textured, just a lump of over-whipped nothing sitting on top of a tiny puddle of coffee. What makes it worse is that with no queue, no pressure, and no distractions, this is still the standard you get. If you can’t even make a basic coffee when the shop is empty, then what are you even contributing to society ? It’s honestly embarrassing that the coffee machine in Scot-mid produces a better drink on its own than the staff do when they’re in a Costa cafe. Costa must be losing a fortune hiring people who either haven’t been trained or just don’t care enough to try. I switched from lattes as I was sick of getting a cup of foam not it’s just a 3inch slab on a cappuccino, honestly sack the DJ and just get a jukebox with this level of incompetence, for price charged it’s just a lotto if your going to feel ripped off at this point !

   My son and his friends went to Costa for drinks yesterday. They left a bag, jumper and wallet behind (as you do). Came back to collect the items and Ruth was super helpful, friendly and went out of her way to retrieve the belongings for us. What a lovely member of staff!!

   Best thing about this cafe is its location. I'm sitting at the bar which sits directly next to International Arrivals, so I can sip mint tea as I wait for my long lost American relative. The staff are friendly and the food looks good, but I didn't indulge. Hat's off to Costa for choosing such an excellent location. Now I have to find my man.
