I usually enjoy visiting Costa Coffee, but unfortunately this visit was a very unpleasant experience. I clearly asked for milk taken directly from the fridge, not from the cartons left out on the counter. I have a sensitive stomach and explained that this is important for me. I was told that the milk on the counter had just been put out, but when I touched it, it was already warm, which made me feel uncomfortable and not taken seriously. What concerned me even more was that the barista used a metal milk jug that already contained warm milk from a previous use and attempted to add fresh cold milk from the fridge into it. I specifically asked for fresh milk only, not mixed with any milk that had been standing before. This request was met with visible irritation rather than understanding. I believe staff should be trained to respect customers’ health-related requests. Not everyone can consume milk that has been left out, as it can cause stomach issues and may pose hygiene concerns. To make matters worse, the service felt very unfriendly. After I said “thank you,” there was no response. When I left the café, I thanked the staff again, and none of the several employees present replied or said goodbye. I genuinely felt unwelcome. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training regarding food handling, hygiene, and customer care. A little understanding and basic courtesy would make a big difference.

Really disappointed by our most recent visit. It seemed like the staff didn't know how to make iced tea & I ended up with coffee grounds in the bottom of my lukewarm drink. It took ages as well, much longer than usual. I didn't bother complaining as the staff seemed stressed, I just won't be back. For the price they charge you would think they would spend time training their staff how to make the drinks. The Gyle is much better but it's a shame as the cafe has a nice atmosphere.

This is to express my dissatisfaction with a recent visit to Costa. I ordered a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream, but when I received my drink from the barista with the green fringe, it was missing the marshmallows. Noticing a tub of marshmallows right next to me, I decided to add a few myself. The barista stopped what she was doing, gave me an incredibly arrogant look, and said "You should've asked me." I politely told her that I had asked when I placed my order, but my request was clearly overlooked. Following this, she promptly moved the marshmallow tub away. I believe it's reasonable to expect a barista to ensure an order is correct, or at the very least, to offer to rectify the mistake without casting judgmental looks. The overall customer service was well below standard, and unfortunately, the cleanliness of the store - with messy tables, floors, and dirty seats - only added to the negative experience.

We love our experience here amd our food and drinks came quickly and was delicious. We had a cheese toastie, a croissant, mac and cheese pasta, a hot chocolate and a mocha drink. I really loved the decadent hot chocolate. The place was chill and had a lot of good, confortable seating. A nice place to relaxe and hang out. Overall, I definitely reccomend this spot.

Stopped for tea and toasties, sitting in Tea was good, as were the Toasties and biscuits. It's a Costa so you know what your getting, but it was better than 95%. Staff were efficient and pleasant with our order. Noted they were restocking as customers purchased, keeping busy. Descent number of tables and good separation compared to some Costa outlets. Felt spacious. Everything looked clean and well kept. Definitely one of the best we've experienced.

Horrible. I asked about extra hot flat white. they couldn't do it. remade. still didn't work. Didn't ask to redo it a second time. terrible. a woman who makes coffee (50+) needs to learn how to make an elementary extra hot.

Comfortable, and clean place to pop in to for a bite to eat and a coffee. Idea if your staying at one of the nearby huge hotels. Half the price of a hotel breakfast... Just as good.

Quite recently opened this Costa is situated in a reasonably busy retail park. It is usually busy but generally seats have been available when I've been in. It has all the usual Costa offerings and kept fairly clean. I'm not a massive fan of any of the national coffee stores as you could be in anyone of them across the country but I respect them as a business and they will have people who care working behind the scenes.

The Livingston costa is better than this one. The door didn't shut properly and the floor was dirty with crumbs and bits of food. I would only return if I absolutely had to.

This was a Toastie??? Half was half “Toasted” the other side not even touched!? And arrived frozen!! Coffee was hot which was a bonus, I’m only up at Bankhead, I think he walked up with it and had the bare faced cheek to charge me £3 delivery!!!
