Turned up at Craigleith Costa at noon today to find it closed with furniture outside and staff running about with stuff. No lunch!
I visited the Costa in Craigleith this morning after a frustrating experience at the Costa at Davidson’s Mains (38 Cramond Rd S). At Davidson’s Mains I asked if the chocolate powder for hot chocolate was vegan. The first barista was in training and very kind, but a colleague immediately said it contained milk without checking. The trainee then asked the store manager, who was cold, dismissive, and clearly bothered by the question. She only showed me “semi skimmed hot chocolate” on the allergen list, which obviously contains milk, instead of checking the chocolate powder itself. It was careless, unhelpful, and unpleasant to see the trainee treated that way for actually trying to get the right answer. By contrast, the staff at the Costa in Craigleith were amazing. Two of them patiently showed me the actual allergen list for the chocolate powder and confirmed that it is vegan. They made my drink exactly as I wanted and were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Their patience, kindness, and attention to detail completely turned my morning around. This is exactly the kind of customer service every store should provide, and I am so grateful for their care. Thank you!

Warm welcome tasty hot chocolate
Even though they were short staff they we're quick with you're order and polite very helpful
Very clean and spacious with lovely staff who seem to enjoy their job and interact with the customers.
Weird experience , had coffee and cake but they wouldn’t give us plates or cups, despite neighbouring tables having them. Possibly there’s a reasonable explanation but one wasn’t given and they were not nice about it. Shame, we’ve liked going there in the past.
Coffe prices are going crazy just now, but biggest shock was cost of a cake £4 Price,s are getting ridiclulouse now unfortunately.
Ordered x3 salted caramel frappes with coffee shot in each. I was smirked at by the till operator them the person making the drinks rolled her eyes and crashed around making them. Each of the frappe drinks were disgusting.. if I hadn’t taken them out and drive away I’d have returned them. Sauce sunk to the bottom, cream Curdled and no coffee in any! Waste of £13!!
