Love this pub been going here on and off since I was a student in the 90's. Was there this week and you guys need to sort out the black mould in the gents toilets on the white tiles as it's bogin/ health hazard. Please sort it out so I can give you 5 stars ! Thanks

Today, my partner and I visited Bennett Bar. Since we weren’t drinking alcohol, we ordered coffee instead. Unfortunately, it was the worst coffee I’ve ever had—it didn’t taste like coffee at all, and the milk was burnt. I politely explained to the waiter that we wouldn’t be drinking it for those reasons, and he replied, “I’m just a bartender, sorry if the coffee is bad.” He insisted on bringing us replacement coffees, but they were just as poor in quality. We couldn’t drink those either. It’s surprising that they advertise using Cobble Roastery coffee beans while serving coffee of such terrible quality. If they can’t prepare coffee properly, they shouldn’t be selling it. It felt like a complete rip-off.

This is a fun old pub. Interior is classic and rustic with tons of history which you can see on the walls, on the floors, on the bar. Solid cask ale selection and some tasty haggis bonbons. There's a second room in the back but it was pretty quiet in the main room when I visited. Some folks started trickling in after I arrived and quite a diverse range of ages. A classic pub a bit hidden by the construction but these are the places that you remember and hope to never disappear.

Fabulous & friendly traditional Edinburgh pub with beautiful stained glass, fireplace & brass bar fittings. There is also a tiny snug with it’s own hatch to the bar which is great for a conspiratorial chat!

Traditional Edinburgh pub with historic interior. Grand selection of beers and scotch. Service brisk and friendly. Cosy space despite the bar being quite large. Good spot for a swift pint and a chat
