We were guests at the Hotel and went to Beefeater for Dinner and Breakfast. Terrible experience! The food at Dinner was luke warm and had a strange taste (Burger and Ribs). Food had to be returned. Staff were not very apologetic and there was no offer of a different meal or refund. Breakfast service seemed very rushed with staff seemingly stressed even though breakfast room was quiet. Hot breakfast is ‘made to order’ and not buffet style which means you have to wait a lot longer for your food to arrive. The cups at the hot drink station were dirty with tea stains on the inside, the glasses on the cold drink station were sticky and were stuck to the drinks tray. Wouldn’t eat at a Beefeater again at all!!

I ate breakfast during each morning of my stay at the adjoining Premier Inn hotel. Good cooked breakfast made to order and brought to the table. Continental items are self-served from the buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful and will return depending on the price of the hotel when booking my next visit.

We stayed in the Premier Inn for two nights and ate here for dinner and breakfast. Food was predominantly good, a couple of little issues with under cooked bacon and sausages. Staff are friendly and try to help. Seems staffing levels are a little low which adds pressures. I have uploaded recent photos of the menu.

Very friendly and considerate staff! I had the pleasure of having Andrii as my waiter - he was very attentive, timely, and professional. In addition, the food was delicious and great value for money.

Tanya was so busy serving everyone at the bar and in the restaurant but did a fantastic job. So friendly and took a genuine interest in us. Food was really tasty - surf and turf was great succulent sirloin steak cooked perfectly. The ribs were fab too. We'd definitely return.

I’m not usually one to complain, but after our experience here I had to leave a review to warn others. During our stay in edinburgh we wanted a Christmas roast dinner and so travelled out of the city where we were staying to this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences of our life. We were immediately greeted with hostility by the manager (Martin… more on him later) informing us that he had a table of 25 in and so our food may take a while (despite us pre-booking). While the food was adequate, the service was absolutely shocking. Our waitress (didn’t catch her name) couldn’t be less interested and everything seemed a chore to her. Martin was extremely rude on many occasions. We were often left waiting for something (plates to be cleared / the bill) and he would be standing behind the bar on his phone drinking a chocolate milkshake that the waitress had made him. We felt extremely uncomfortable when hearing him speak to the table beside us in a horrible manner. The table of 25 came with many many children who, instead of staying in their area, decided to run around and play hide and seek around our table, making us very frustrated and uncomfortable, with the restaurant staff not battering an eye lid. Whilst we were eating, another waitress was clearing a table next to us when she loudly burped, not covering her mouth… Finally, there was a poster on our table telling us if we signed up to the loyalty scheme and showed our registration, we would get 25% off today’s bill. This did not happen. The rude waitress insisted the till “wouldn’t let her” because we had a Christmas meal, which was NOT stated on the misleading poster. Save your troubles and go somewhere else.

Cocktail and dessert are interesting and satisfying. Salmon and pastry are great but the side veg is bit plain and boring (could use some glazing with oil or butter I suppose). Free parking on site. Website booking are straightforward and easy. Not crowded for lunch. Overall it is quite pleasant experience, especially with the December promotions I received. 2 courses from £17.95 Santa Clausmopolitan £5 Smirnoff Red Vodka, Cointreau, lime juice and cranberry with a festive twist Salmon En Croûte** Salmon in a creamy cheese and spinach sauce encased in puff pastry, served with Tenderstem® broccoli, peas, boiled potatoes and a jug of mornay sauce Cherry Chocolate Melting Dome§†† (v) An indulgent dark Belgian chocolate dome filled with a dark cherry compote and Baileys™ ice cream. Served on a bed of golden oat crumble and a jug of warm custard

Very very poor if I could give 0 I would. We were staying at the adjoining Premiier Inn. Early evening approx 17.30. Restaurant was almost empty. Don't be fooled I wish I had taken photos of the food and recorded the staff. Careful of the surcharges. Just don't go there!! How does a well done steak still have blood in it. To much wrong to list. £56 for 3 set menus and £28 on drinks this was our first night of four never again. Looking for somewhere else local
