Was there with friends for THE Sunday roast & it was absolutely delicious. I had the slow roast pork belly & it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great, nice warm welcoming accommodating staff & everything you’d want in a village pub. If you haven’t been already then I suggest you get yourself ready & hotfoot it down either Wednesday to Saturday for their themed foodie nights or on a Sunday for the best roast experience possible. The Grapes is without doubt a fantastic asset to East Calder.

Menu does not mention that prices EXCLUDE VAT which was added to our bill after the fact. Clearly illegal under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and Price Marking Order 2004. That being said, food was lovely and staff were amazing. Lovely atmosphere.

This is a lovely pub with good programmes, delicious drinks, and yummy food. The service was excellent. We didn't realise we needed a reservation, so there was no seats available inside. The lady (dunno if she was a manager) explained that we could stay and have drinks outside until 8:30p.m., but she'd let us know if a table became available. Our drinks, Captain's orders and *can't recall the pink one* were just what the doctor ordered. I had an 6-hour braised beef and my sister had a burger. Both were sooooo yummy! Dunno why I didn't take pictures. I can't wait to visit on a Thursday - the steak is calling my name! The music was good, and at a sensible volume. The bathrooms are clean; there's an β™Ώ accessible one too.

Lovely place, nice decor, food looks & tastes great BUT its still a wee pub in a small village so for that I'd say the food was a bit pricey.

A lovely pub with great service and great food. We had visitors from across the water over for a family occasion. At very short notice, only a couple of hours, they managed to fit in a party of 19 in the outside area for food. The staff were exceptional and the food was excellent. We all stayed on for drinks and the atmosphere in the pub was brilliant. Thanks for making it a great night for us all.

This restaurant was perfect. Our first restaurant in Scotland. I had veggie curry, which was delicious. Best mini corns I had in my life. My cousin had a cheese burger. He describes it as very tasty with the bacon. They have draught scottish beers, which is very nice since we wanted to try some. The music/ambiance was awesome, the playlist reminded me of one my sister and I could have created, so of course, I enjoyed it a lot. The staff was super friendly and answered our many questions. They seemed interested by our journey through Scotland. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend that place.

Arrived solo with no booking, place was packed. Staff endeavoured to find me a table to settle in for the night, though it took some shuffling around - but I hugely appreciate the effort, they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Food was great, staff were friendly and attentive, awesome vibe, lovely pub.
