Stopped in here a couple of times now, both times it was busy, but I was seated quickly. The food was tasty and the prices are reasonable. The service from the team both times was spot on. As a bonus the views from the windows are amazing.

An absolute gem of a cafe!! We whole heartedly loved it!! Would love to go back again. Really tasty food and drinks and exceptionally reasonable prices. Friendly and welcoming staff and views to die for. A must visit for all intrepid travellers......10/10!

Main reason for one stars is the price versus portion size and drinks prices. The food although nice is expensive for what you get. Β£12 for a baked potato which to be slightly fair was a decent size but still Β£12 for a baked potato is steep. But it gets worse, I ordered a toastie Β£8 what came was a handful of crisps and salad and a toastie made using one slice of bread a few scraps of bacon and apple and cheese, that's a rip off, never have I seen anywhere a toastie using one slice of bread. Cans of juice are Β£3, a Robinsons fruit drink is also Β£3 I have paid Β£1.50 elsewhere, and small bottle of water Β£.240 rip off completely. The staff were good a s setting was nice, but that's the only positives. To their reply other businesses also faced rising costs but they don't rip people off with drinks prices either. What you did was take advantage of the rising costs and turn it into greed. And yes the toastie was an open toastie but doesn't mean it should be as expensive as it was. Had open toasties elsewhere which were much better in quality and half the price. This place was much better when it first opened. Now it's terrible in every aspect apart from the nice scenery but that's not enough to endure the greed.

Nice place with lovely view. Dogs allowed outside only. It was rather cold & very breezy. Food was very nice. A little shelter outside would have been nice especially if it had been wet. I stopped to eat & use the facilities. Travelling on my own it is sometimes awkward to leave my dog in the car( too hot) & I don't leave him tied up outside. Otherwise a very nice establishment.

Fantastic independent cafe in stunning surroundings. Very friendly team fast and effective service. Along with beautiful hot food and brilliant offering of cake and coffee... Best coffee I've had in a while would strongly recommend

Great stop off the A68 southbound (access is trickier northbound, I'm sure you'll be fine) into a large gravel car park. The wait to be seated on entry wasn't long at all, browse the menu at your table then order and pay at the counter-3 or 4 hanging around waiting for their take out. Plenty of polite staff with a tips jar at the till. Not a long wait for our bacon rolls on a Sunday afternoon, but there are notices on the table reminding you that others may be waiting for a seat. Windows overlooking the Forth etc. if you can get a good spot.

Been many years since we were here last - lovely friendly and helpful staff, good food, amazing cakes - was full so considering the rise in Covid perhaps some of the windows could have been slightly open to improve air flow.

We were hoping to stop for a savoury snack (sandwiches or baked potatoes) but when we got there at 3:30pm they told us the kitchen was closed. As cakes and drinks were available we ordered coffees, hot chocolates and cakes. The cakes were nice but we waited ages for the hot chocolate and when it arrived it was cold! Disappointing!

Lovely friendly cafe on the A68 great menu, food was lovely and filling. There was a friendly atmosphere in the cafe, staff were welcoming and helpful. The toilet were clean and tidy, covid restrictions were in place for safety. Large free carpark, stunning views from the cafe with large floor to ceiling picture windows. A1
