Top guys, they had the earliest appointment to replace a tyre. Dropped off at 12.35 and suggested it would be done in an hour. Over to McDonald's for a coffee went back over at 1.20 and it was just done. Excellent work and pleasant guys. Recommended.

The one star is not reflective of the excellent work/service Grant and Craig provided. I cannot fault them whatsoever. However, the head office, Halfords online system, and their customer service was atrocious. I initially purchased two tyres for the rear of my car online on Tuesday. This was fairly straight forward and booked for 10:30am on Thursday morning. On Wednesday afternoon I decided it might be a better idea just to have all four tyres done at the same time. There was a space at 11:30 Thursday that cost an extra £4 which I had booked. As I was booking online, halfway through my payment the screen froze. The payment came off my card but the tyres were still sitting in the basket. I called customer service around 5:45pm and they said they had the payment and not to worry. It wasn’t showing on my Halfords account, but she was able to manually book the car for all four tyres on Thursday morning. She gave me a reference number. I checked it on my account when I got off the phone but it wasn’t recognised! The head office was now closed (closes 6pm). On Thursday morning, I wanted to make sure the garage knew it was all four tyres. I called the garage at 8am, only two tyres had arrived, the other two had not come in. He said they were only placed after 6pm (which makes sense). He said he would call later when all four tyres were in to avoid a long wait so that I could have the job done in one go. Perfect service. I wanted to make sure there was nothing to pay, as I had paid online. He said there was a payment reference for one set of tyres, not the other, but that would likely be updated later. I contacted customer service again after I spoke with the garage at 8am, as I was worried that the payment wasn’t showing against the second set of tyres and I didn’t want to be double charged. They told me again that it was all fine, but she would double check. She then said I had been refunded for some reason, no explanation given. I would need to make a payment at the garage for the other two tyres. I get an email after that call saying I’ve been refunded and my refund will be in my account in 3-5 working days. I get a call from the garage around 10:00am saying all 4 tyres are in, I drop the car at 10:15 I tell them I need to make a payment for two of the tyres, explain the situation, and offer to pay there and then. They said I have to wait until the job is complete and then they can do it at the end. I get an email at 11:15 saying the job is complete. I go over to collect the car and I’m told I can’t take it yet because there is a balance to pay and they cannot clear the system because it says it’s already paid!! This was quite a shambles. Customer service didn’t know what to do, and the garage couldn’t override the “paid” invoice. Eventually head office agreed to let me pay by bank transfer to their bank account. They never once seemed bothered that they had wasted all those hours. I had to cancel other commitments to deal with something that should have been straight forward. The company should have taken responsibility for their mistake. Making someone wait 2 hours after a 45 minute job was completely ridiculous. Overall, there needs to be a better system in place so that either the garage can override a head office error, or head office needs to be aware of how to handle these issues when they arise to avoid long unreasonable waits. I’m not asking for compensation but in that scenario, they absolutely should have given a good will discount/gesture for time wasted. Customers don’t have all day to wait around for companies to figure out how to run a business.

Easy drop off, a call once done and easy collection with my receipt and details all emailed to me ahead. I will definitely go back to Halfords for servicing.

Happy for the new tyres, manufacturerd one in early July, one in early August (not able to check the driver's side tyres). I did not like the fact the pressure of my tyres was different in all 4 tyres. However they were happy to fix it upon my request before I leave the garage.

DO NOT USE. Told a completely different price on the telephone - turned up, the car was filthy, and they had whacked on random charges that had not been discussed (was expecting about £120/30, was around £190). The car was COVERED in bird poo and dirt - if you get your car done here, there are ongoing building works that will leave your car ruined with debris, as well as a giant McDonalds drive-thru that attracts the costal birds - all more the reason for them to have a jetwash. They confirmed as JUSTIFICATION for my filthy car that this is currently standard and that "ALL CARS" will look like this and they have no responsibility to clean it - be prepared to pick up your car in a completely different state to how you hand it into their premises and then have to take on their business costs for this. Not only do I have a higher bill, I have £100-150 cleaning costs (not to mention the money for taxis because there's no way I could show up to work with the vehicle like this, plus the cost & time of carwash, plus the time/labour of complaining - to which you will be gaslit and told the responsibility for cleaning after their work is shunted onto you as customer)

Absolute cowboys running this shop. Email says Mot is booked for 8 am and when I go to drop the car in, got told its a full Mot, Not a retest. I will never use this shop ever again. Not sure how these guys are allowed to run these businesses.

I was told my battery needed replaced after being rescued by green flag. I desperately went along to Seafield Halfords to see if they could supply and fit one for me that evening (don’t EVER buy a Nissan Qashqai if you want to spend your life in a garage every month). It was 5:15 and they closed at 6. The man who served me (I think it was grant?) was THE BEST. He was honest, friendly and efficient. Even though the team were busy, he told me he could fit my battery in an hour. And he did. No bullsh**, explained the 4yr warranty on it and I was done. I didn’t want to spend £177 on a battery on a Thursday night (I’ve never had to buy car parts before so not sure if this is a rip off) apart from the price the service was brilliant.
