Emma was there doing nothing useful for customers. She was at collection desk and when I went there to collect my order she sent me to the big queue where people stays for their in store purchase. Emma is just another example of someone avoiding work responsibilities. Think twice before visiting this store. The other reviews are saying kind of the same thing for this store.

For one there is no direct line to the store to which you're sent halfway across the globe to speak to someone and secondly, the staff are always floating about yet can't be bothered to serve you. Had numerous issues in the past, one especially when I had ordered a cooker it was delivered to me with the oven door shattered to pieces and I was expected to deal with it and take it into my residence. At that point I made the delivery folk take the damaged product back. I had to fight for a new one with customer service (which are based abroad somewhere) and the manager for the East Kilbride store was taking nothing to do with it, for context I had also paid for an electrician to install my cooker on the day it arrived but of course I was invoiced by the electrician for the time out to which I made sure I was going to get compensation from Currys for the hassle they caused. Anyway never got anywhere by myself so I had to get Trading Standards involved to which Currys were put in place to follow suite with consumer rights. It's infuriating that there aren't anymore physical electrical shops other than Argos and Currys to rely otherwise I would order online but again hassle of potential returns. When dealing with Curry's be sure to have patience of a saint otherwise they'll put you into an early grave from the stress.

This is purely based on customer service. Ordered a smart watch and selected store pickup which was meant to be ready within an hour. 3 days gone past but received no email or text to say it was ready for the pickup. Since it was a birthday gift, I ended up visiting the store hoping they’ll have it in stock. When I got to the pickup counter, one person was already service a customer and Manager was busy with a colleague (appears to be chatting only). I waited to be served for over 10-15mins but even after the Manager finished with his colleague, although he looked at me standing near the counter, he didn’t acknowledge or even said that someone will be with me shortly. There were other colleagues in the back office chatting and no one came to serve me for a while. When I was eventually served, they had the order ready even though I wasn’t sent any notification for 3 days so they must’ve been extremely busy to notify me for something which was meant to be ready in an hour. I was given the smart watch wrapped in a pickup slip which clearly mentioned the item name and colour and it matched my order so I didn’t remove the slip to check if it was the correct item. Came home to find out I was given a completely different colour watch. Went all the way back to the store and explained the issue to the Manager and his colleague Lesley who were at the counter. They didn’t bother showing any courtesy or even an apology for giving me the wrong item in first place. While manager was away to get the correct colour watch, I said to Lesley that I am a bit annoyed that I had to waste my time and fuel for coming back. I am partially to blame for not checking the item but I only checked the pickup slip and was happy that it mentioned the correct item. Her exact response was ‘Oh okay’ and she just ignored me after that. Not a single word to apologies for the inconvenience. That made me annoyed more and when I received the correct item, I complained and asked to speak to the manager. Only then she quickly said sorry and brought the Manager who wasn’t bothered at all and just said, ‘mistakes happen’ but still wouldn’t apologies. I agree that mistakes happen and I take the blame too for not checking the item, but it would’ve been nice to receive an apology for the inconvenience. Even when I mentioned to the manager that no one bothered to say sorry, he still wouldn’t say it and just shrugged it off. Won’t be visiting this store ever. Will still use Currys though since have received better service at other stores.

Yesterday I purchase an American-style Fridge Freezer from the East Kilbride store. It was delivered today on time. However , it is too large to get through internal doors of the house unless the actual fridge doors are removed. (My doors are a standard size.) The delivery man stated that Curry sale staff ought to have explained that and offered a service of doing so for £45. No service was mentioned and at the moment the FF is sitting in my hallway until I can arrange a third party to sort out the problem. Had I been offered the service, I would happily have paid.

Staff at this East Kilbride store are not very helpful. Was in the store for about 20 minutes and no one came to see if I needed help with something. I spotted 2 salespeople at a pc terminal talking to each other, after watching them for about 5 minutes I eventually went over to ask for assistance for myself and another customer who had also been waiting a while. Their reply was they were dealing with other customers, when I interrupted them, it didn't sound like they were talking about a work related subject but more like a social conversation between friends.

I bought a new Apple Ipad yesterday and paid for all my information to be transferred over. When I got home I noticed that none of my outlook /mailbox info had transferred. I returned to the East Kilbride store and a lovely young girl called Katie spent a long time trying to transfer the data. Thankfully with a lot of patience and persistence, she managed to do it. I cant thank her enough. She was brilliant.

Very very poor customer experience lack of care from staff if I didn’t need a laptop urgently (after paying for it three times before being allowed to take it ) I would have walked out and purchased elsewhere. I know how much a shopping experience matters especially when parting with such a large amount of money so A little more sensitivity and an ounce of care to someone already messed about would have gone a long way. Save your time and purchase directly from the brand you want. Wont shop here again

Absolutely dire. Stood about for 30mins looking eager to buy new headphones only to be totally ignored by staff. I left sat in car ordered from Argos and picked my item up five minutes later .. The shopping experience in this store is dire. I won't be back .
