My ex partner recently took her car to D&G Inverkeithing as she noticed a knock from the rear. Was charged £526.60 for a front suspension arm, tie rod end and wheel alignment. Over £300 charge for labour for work that should take a maximum 1.5 hours and that’s with issues. May I also add the problem still there. Upon calling the “ operations manager “ at head office she was told “ if your not happy at the price don’t use us again” I have already provided all relevant information to H/O and no response. They chose to report my other review rather than make contact. *** Update *** All relevant information has been emailed to D&G Autocare. Rather than communicate they have chosen to block me. Very immature and unprofessional. Next step is Motor Ombudsman.

My coil spring broke and AA took me here! The told me I’d need to get a specialist at £103 an hour to check what the problem was, the ABS light was on which wasn’t from the coil spring braking (im just back from my mechanics and it turns out whoever done the car was the problem). These guys has bent a prong inside the cable due to rubbish workmanship my mechanic said and showed me. I paid £50 for that and another tiny fix to my own mechanic! These guys were about to charge me £103 an hour for a specialist to check what they broke, something in my gut told me not to leave my car there and I picked it up unannounced because I didn’t trust them one bit, turns out my gut was absolutely correct. I’ve had a coil spring changed and never had an issue like this. It took my mechanic (who isn’t AA approved) 10 mins to get the job done so im not sure what happened here. I thought it was qualified mechanics in this garage so I don’t know why they needed a specialist unless they are incompetent… now I think they are if they need a specialist to do a regular mechanics job

Recently had my motorhome in for an MOT, was told I needed a front lower arm due to bearings being collapsed and disks and pads all round due to failing the brake force test. Took the vehicle to another local MOT station for a second opinion where the brake test was successfully passed and no collapsed bearings were found. Was quoted just under £1000 by D&G for work required which seems to not be required. Will not be returning or recommending…. Bitter taste left after this experience.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at D&G Autocare. I took my car in for an MOT and some repairs on the back of the MOT expecting the usual standard of care. However, when I collected the vehicle, I was shocked to find a noticeable dent in the door that wasn’t there when I dropped it off. When I raised the issue, there was no clear explanation or accountability from the staff, and I was left feeling frustrated and unheard. It’s unacceptable for a car to come back with damage after being in for routine work. I trusted them with my vehicle and feel completely let down. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be returning, and I’d urge others to check their cars thoroughly before and after any service here.

Had a great experience in August with my MOT/Service, and a new set of tyres. Communication was great, no pressure to get anything done, I had to insist slightly that I wanted my tires done as they still had a few miles on them. Prices are competitive, and I'm happy to support a local business. I would absolutely come back, but I learned there is a different branch closer to my house that is more convenient. I'm definitely happy to stick with D&G for the foreseeable.

Went in for an MOT and the car was in a bad state and needed lots of work. Long story short, the fix involved was a nightmare but the guys at D&G were extremely helpful and patient and saw the job through to the end. Given the work involved it was good value too. Would absolutely recommend.
