Huge store, I came here to get some angle uprights that I struggled to find elsewhere but unfortunately their wood cutting machine was out of order so I was unable to get ply cut to size. One bonus was that I did find a big length of mdf in their off cut section for Β£3.

I decided to replace the cabinet doors in the kitchen and went to my local store in EK. The girl who helped was great and pointed me in the right direction for everything that I needed. I decided to add an extra cabinet but the instructions never gave advice about what screw size to use to secure the cabinet to the wall. So I popped in again and asked for assistance. Along came Alan, who seemed confused by my explanation of wanting the right size screws to fit my kitchen cabinet to the wall. Apparently he didn’t know that you use brackets to fit a B&Q cabinet to a wall. So then came the eye rolling and the huffing and puffing. I then got a lecture on how rawlplugs work and what the guide holes were for, how to drill a hole and how to put the screws in the little bag that they gave you. It didn’t matter how many ways I explained that I know this already, he just kept treating me like a bit of an idiot. I can’t help but wonder if he would treat a man like this. I’ve been doing DIY for years, and have drilled many a hole and used many a rawlplug. I came out today pretty annoyed at the way I was treated. So maybe next time, if asked what the best size of screw is, just answer the question and keep the condescension to yourself.

I visit this B and Q way more than I should and usually its pretty good and it has a lot of helpful staff. However yesterday my partner and I had a really bad experience at checkout where our voucher wouldn't work. Rather than trying to help we were asked by the sales person "I don't know what you expect me to do". They eventually took the hint and got a manager who authorised the discount almost instantly. The sales person then only applied the discount to one of our items. When my partner made a point of pointing that out, the sales person then said "well you shouldn't be getting it anyway" or something to those words. At which point we gave up, paid full price for everything else and left. The items in question were already well overpriced and the voucher was one of the ones that get printed after you've already spent a bunch. So overall its a bit crap that a sales person is giving us a hard time for buying the items and trying to use a voucher THEY gave us. Returned the items today on principle and will be buying them elsewhere. Definitely a 1 star experience but overall the store is pretty decent.

Last Sunday me and my partner went in for some DIY needs, when approaching the check out I was greeted by a lovely staff member called Abbie. She helped me with my items and was very kind and told me about the great benefits of having a club card with B&Q. Will shop again, thanks Abbie for all your help.

Spacious store which is easy to navigate. Plenty of parking outside store. Self serve tills were closed. Price of wallpaper is very expensive.

I made a Β£118.99 purchase of 9 items, only to find out 2 items actually came from them, 4 items with 1 seller, then 1 seller each for the rest. There customer service was non existant and did not care. They pass the sellers details over and tell you to contact them. 1 week in and 2 were out of stock, 2 ordered and posted but not delivered. I will never ever buy off b&q again

Unfortunately, I had to use the toilet in this store. In the men's room, the door to the cabin does not have a lock and the flush does not work. Also the hand dryer didn't work. It's dirty overall. It's a shame that a shop that sells locks and toilets has such a mess in the toilet.

I couldn't believe how big this place was. It's very well spaced out and organised so things are easy to find. 4 out of 5 stars because I wanted a kitchen plinth cut to size and they weren't able to do that for me because of the laminate covering on it. Their big machine wouldn't give it a clean finish, and they recommended a circular saw for this. Great advice, but not helpful for someone who doesn't have their own tools. Hopefully my neighbour can help me. Otherwise great, helpful staff. Clean and plenty of sanitiser available.

Its a BIG shop. Lots to look at and buy. I forgot a few things. But as I walked about in B &Q, I was like wooow I need this woow I need that too. So I bought them. Reasonable prices. Staff were good when asking them a question. They told you exactly where the item you wanted was. But awe, one thing I wanted, the last one had just gone within minutes. Awe. Auch well. There is always another day. There is a wee lovely Burger van just outside B&Q in the carpark. Nice prices.
