I took my AudiA4 to this place , when i called on a Monday morning , i was told they are busy till the following Tuesday, But after a wee chat about my cars problem , i was told bring it along Thursday, and if we have the time we will look at it . So i arrive Thursday morning, guy on reception remembers me and says all good, we will be in touch . 3hrs later i get a call with what the problem is , (why my engine management light was on ). After a quick chat , was told we will be in touch once it,s sorted , Another call 3hrs later , come pick it up all fixed. I was well impressed with the service i got here, to get fitted in to the busy schedule they had, I was starting a new job and needed my car working , and they sorted it out for me no problem, for a decent price . I even had a good chat with the tech who was working on my car, and he explain everything to me what was done . I will defo recommend Autohaus to anyone. Excellent service.

I do not normally submit reviews but was compelled to in this instance. I have used Autohaus on many occasions for small repairs and has always been a good experience. However, my last visit with my Mercedes E-220 Sport Coupe ended with a sizeable job including ABS ring replacement on both rear driveshafts, all rear suspension arms replaced which involved dropping the subframe. Front suspension arm replacement due to failed ball joint. Like many drivers, my suspension has been slowly destroyed by the shocking state of the Edinburgh roads!!! These repairs were a pre requisite to facilitate a 4 wheel alignment to resolve misaligned steering wheel. I also had an issue with dynamic handling not working as was stuck in Sport Mode. After above repairs were completed, a faulty level sensor was diagnosed and replaced. Pleased to say active suspension now restored. On receiving the car back I can def say it is a different car and the ride quality is night and day in comparison to the bag of bolts I arrived with. The suspension now actually functions as a system as per design. These are significant repairs and require a very competent mechanic to tackle. it was def worth it, as the car now pretty much drives like new and if looked after should hopefully last another 10 years. The communication through Jack was excellent and quite sympathetic in light of what was required, not to mention the bill!! Parts prices were all acceptable as they use OEM where possible or direct from manufacturer. The majority of cost was in labour due to the 6-7 hours to dismantle and rebuild rear subframe and components. Unfortunately this could not be avoided as just part of how car designed. I am also an experienced amateur mechanic who enjoys working on cars and bikes, so fully understand these issues and can tell the difference between how a car drives and should drive. Big thanks to the team for a job well done. In this context I can certainly recommend Autohaus as a very competent and friendly business which some particular dealers in Edinburgh could certainly learn from, in my experience.

Put in my 7p Touareg with the dreaded coolant leak in the V, as well as a few other niggles after getting recommended Autohaus from my local garage. Customer service was great, kept me informed from start to finish. Hire car was nice and tidy when I collected it. Picked the car up and did a 5 hour round trip towing horses the next day, didn’t skip a beat. Definitely recommend these guys!

Autohaus thoroughly MOT ‘d my ancient 2009 BMW and even though they were very busy they managed to fit in hand brake adjustment same day and coped with Me turning up for the car at the last minute. These people are very helpful and not awful on price. I had already replaced the front pads as shown in the photos below. Believe me I take ten times as long to do a job like that. These guys are fast and good.

I had autohaus tune my previous performance car and loved the work they done then, so it was ofcourse my first choice for the servicing and fittment of performance parts for my new M2 Competition. They are very professional and the work done was 5 star. Car felt new again and the induction kit and lowering spring fittment was done perfectly. Cant wait to get the car back there for more work to be done.

Unfortunately for me this is a poor 'indy' repairer for my TT. In no way do they provide the level of service and expertise they claim on their website. They claim to be able to repair complex repairs/faults yet I was back and forth with a knocking from the front of my car. Their first repair of £360 failed, then another £400 for the entire front-anti-roll bar to be replaced that also failed to fix the issue so their diagnosis of the problem was obviously inaccurate. When I did complain they offered to replace my anti-roll bar they removed and refund £187! So that told me they got my £400 plus my existing anti-roll bar which obviously had nothing wrong with it. Complete rip off. To make matters worse, the courtesy car the gave me had not been checked as I had a Tyre go flat whilst driving, this happened at 20:00, this was due to excessive wear - you could see the cords through the rubber - there were no instructions/number for what to do if their courtesy car broke down within the vehicle. My recoverer confirmed - as did autohaus themselves on return of the car - the Tyre was totally worn. What if this had happened at 70mph on a motorway? Totally negligent, worse was their attitude to this which was no interest at all in my concerns. The Manager just kept saying he knew his stuff as he was manager at Arnold Clark for years, ok, so how does that make you an Audi specialist then and obviously a bad manager if that is your attitude to customers. They had also previously replaced my brakes for me changing the brake pipes which was also unnecessary and my brakes have been terrible since, way too slow to respond, way too soft. I do not recommend this repairer, they do not provide the service or possess the expertise they claim according to their information on their website.

As a new customer but having been several times to Autohaus for both BMW and VW cars, I am very happy with the work from the lads at Autohaus. Thanks again.

You can tell by the cars around the garage that the team really appreciate fine machines. I will post back after the service/MOT - obviously I am paying a little bit more for local expertise - I might value that more than others. Initial quote for MOT and service for my car £180 but its older and I hope to return to folk who can keep cars on the road. What can I say inflation sucks..
