I visited this practice few weeks ago for new patient check up have to say all staff made me feel welcome and dentist explained what treatment was required I did not feel rushed all at appointment. I do have anxiety but felt very much at ease here. Would highly recommend this practice
My partner has an inherent fear of dentists. He is currently having major work completed. Our dentist is patient and understanding. She is not rushing what is required. My partner wanted to be knocked out for the work to be undertaken, however, he has admitted that he does not feel anything when teeth are being extracted. Although the practice does not have private parking, there is plenty of street parking. If you need an NHS dentist, they are taking on patients. Highly recommend them.
Just visited KF for the first time today. All the staff and the dentist are professional and welcoming. The surgery itself is clean, calming and organised. Very happy to have found a great dental surgery in Edinburgh.

K F Dental isn’t interested in NHS patients. In March following a routine exam I had a filling replaced in a fractured tooth. Before getting out the chair Fotois Pappas said that the filling was close to the nerve and would probably need a root canal. Four months later I was back for an emergency appointment as the tooth had become infected. Six months on and I can’t get an appointment for treatment. I was told 2 months ago K F Dental couldn’t make an appointment for treatment because they hadn’t drawn up a rota, then the dentists were away for a three week holiday. I have been told twice that the practice would call to arrange an appointment and they haven’t phoned. Fotois took a risk six months ago knowing that I would need treatment. Fotois has now admitted that I am medically unfit for Denplan because of his own dentistry, and reception can’t make an appointment for the treatment prescribed by three dentists because they don’t know how long the appointment should be for. Since writing the above review reception called to discuss. As part of a 12 minute monologue I was given an appointment with Fotois to discuss this review. At the appointment Fotois asked if I would remove this review. He thought it was unfair and argued for quarter of an hour. I walked out instead of wasting time. The bottom line is that if I have to give a one star review to get an appointment a one star review is justified.
Extremely helpful and kind. Thank you! I have been struggling to have registration with any dental practice in EDI or infact get helpful or useful information. I had called a dozen practices, been turned away within a minute, some offered very expensive private visit or to wait for months (like end of this year or next year start). I struck gold with call to KF dental, the man I spoke to was extremely kind, he told no as well but he was the first one to explain why that was and offered few solutions. He explained how registration works. Once he confirmed I wasn’t in immediate discomfort or interested in expensive urgent private registration, he advised another practice he believed was accepting nhs patients. I have now registered with this other practice. Thanks to this person not just for the solution but also for his kindness, time and patience on the phone. Made my day.
Great service! I had root canal treatment done under microscope. I was in a lot of pain and Doctor offered me the treatment very fast. If you want to have a Doctor who really care, I can truly recommend. Thanks again Pawel
This is a fantastic Dental practice. I found the staff very friendly. One of the Dental nurses was very helpful and made me feel very comfortable due to my anxiety of dental procedures. The Dentist was very thorough explaining the procedure to me. So I highly recommend this practice. I am very happy to keep to my appointments knowing that I will be well treated in a professional manner. Thank you so much for the great treatment.
