They are amazing. Super knowledgeable, friendly and reliable. My regular dentist Suja and nurse Aleksandra are such lovely people who make you feel very well looked after. Highly recommended.
Has been a while since I went there but i can assure i had the worst experience with a dentist i had in 30 years of my life. Dr Paddy did not listen to me asking for antibiotics as I ad an abscess and local anesthetic would not work on me. Tried to remove the tooth anyway and when i started hyperventilating i was left alone in the room with my panic attack (due to the pain). Then i was sent home with half of the tooth still there and no medication. The morning after i had to be admitted to the hospital to drain the abscess in surgery and for complications I had to stay three weeks there. The doctors where appalled when they saw the state of my tooth. This happened in october/november 2022, my mental health took a drastic decline from the experience and I did not feel up to recalling it again until now. This was shameful.
Absolutely appalling behaviour from the female dentist Ruby! She’ discriminated against me for my background! Refused to do any treatment to my teeth for 6-12 weeks to wait for approval from the dental institute after giving me an incorrect filling in which I complained about and she stated this is what happens! When I spoke to dental institute they told me this information was absurd and my treatment should have went ahead. I then went back to ruby and explained this she then stated to me that I was wrong and she was not going to give me treatment. I took this as discrimination.. growing up with a name like mines you tend to learn to distinguish different behaviours from people especially those who are meant to be under nhs service! Or any public service of that matter! Today July 2025 I had a friend who’s a white Scottish female who attended the dental practice today and who was also seen by ruby whou couldn’t of been any nicer to my friend explaining she would help her not that there had to be a referral made to the institute or anything and her situation was the same as mine before. I believe that the dentist named ruby is a discriminating person and the best thing I done was change dentist! When you first sign up to leith walk dental you have to pay a charge even if your under the nhs this was £20 for an adult and £10 for a child, both of which I paid before any appointment but When and if the dentist chooses not to work or help you they take it upon themselves to not give you your deposits back at all!
Dr Ruby is amazing. She explained everything that was happening, was patient with me and made me feel more relaxed. Slowly i’m getting over my fear of the dentist thanks to her :)

I don't usually write reviews as a matter of course but feel that the exceptional and friendly service I have received from all the staff in this Practice deserves to be acknowledged. My dentist, Dr.Paddy Ferry, retires soon and his professionalism and commitment to his dental vocation will be greatly missed.
Unfriendly, unprofessional and downright nasty . Never once had an appointment on time and told to find a new practice for complaining about being left to wait upwards of 90 minutes on EVERY single appointment. Told if I don't like it go elsewhere. No care for patients and as a person with autism their ruthless treatment of me goes against the charter for disabilities. Will be pursuing complaints to the highest order. Refusing to fix fillings he put in that are sub standard shoddy work.
This is a great little gem of a practice. The staff are warm and friendly. Our dentist is concerned, gives full explanations of the problem, the options and is very competent. She is also kind and warm but very professional at all times. The practice has been very responsive when for example I have had toothache. I can't recommend it enough. I don't say this lightly as I am a retired GP.
Almost every review here is (rightly) a five star one. Due to my advanced age and bad teeth (sigh) I have a long experience of dentists. Dr Ruby Ahuja and her staff are by far the best I have known. They combine working to very high professional standards with a very caring attitude to patients. Dr. Ahuja is a superb dentist. My family and friends are all grateful to be patients of the Leith Walk Dental Practice, as I also am.
