Found this cafe when out looking for a breakfast place ,sadly we missed breakfast but were offered a brunch menu by the lady running the cafe ,a very happy, attentive and nothing was a bother individual ,it turned out i had an appointment and time was of the essance ,so the lady offered us to be seated and she would have our order ready no problem and i would be on my way in no time ,cafe was clean n tidy ,both staff lovely to speak with and nothing was too much trouble ,we got our food to go and what a lovely roll they made ,i had 2 x haggis and fried egg ,my wife had bacon n tottie scone tea and coffee ,will defo be back . The cafe is situated within a church ,entrance is via the glass door sandwhiched between the sandstone church ,but dont let the small cafe look put you because you will not be disappointed ,my food was clean and dry ,no greasy egg or stodgy haggis ,all was crisp and clean and a return is definetly warranted ,pitty its only 5 stars as 10 out of 10 all round is my opinoin

Food was first class staff were also lovely even tho I was on my own I was to feel welcome as we were when we went into the church for the first time that much so we are now going into our 4th week I think. My grandson Noah also loves going to the church and the Sunday school he says it’s great but no as good as the west sorry people.

I have frequented the View Café on many occasions covering a good number of year's. My experience today however was tainted with displeasure as a member of staff ran roughshod regarding my dining comfort, she constantly kept opening the door into the dining area because she was too warm, an excuse I found quite unacceptable as my friend and I were sitting adjacent to the open door. This ruined what should have been a nice lunchtime meal.

Great wee café. Well organised with spaced out tables and one way system. Good coffee and a selection of soup and sandwiches or hot meals. No booking so at busy times you might need to wait on a table and chairs being sanitised. Table service only. Feels like a very safe space to meet a friend for coffee or lunch. Staff are terrific and Kirsty's scones are to die for.
