have been here many times never had a bad meal yet food amazing shout out to Margaret who is just the best this has become a regular place for me today i had an all day breakfast which was just brilliant great value for money again shout out to Maggie who is just the best 5* So back again ,what can I say 10/10
So it used to be called the Partick breakfast which a month ago was a fiver. Went with my wife and to kids ordered the breakfast not looking at the menu as the last 4 times over the last 6 months it was a fiver each for the breakfast bill comes out breakfast cos now 7 pound each a 40 percent jump in price. They stated that I should have looked at menu. I advised them that it was there right to increase price but a forty percent mark up is a joke.
Can't believe I travelled 20 miles round trip to waste my money and time here. If something seems too good to be true - it usually is. I asked for my normal split pudding & chips. Always split, THEN battered before cooking. NOT today. They took one that was lying in the fish rack, split it with a knife (which I could've done) gave me some dried up chips and left me with it. 55 years I've worked in Chip Shops so I know what I'm talking about. Amateurish, as the time and money he saved with me, has cost him £100 monthly sales. Lost customer, and for what?
Asked if they still do a fish tea as been getting them here for years but isn’t on the menu anymore . Got told yes was asked if I want salad and bread and butter said yes then I was told I would have to buy the tea separate as this wasn’t part of the fish TEA so didn’t bother I know it’s only another £2.50 but not the point .
Excellent value and good portion, maybe even a bit too big. Happy to accommodate special requests within reason. Would happily eat again.
This is the worst place for fish £4:30 for one 6inch fish asked the price for 2 got told abruptly £8 what a total rip off , the girl serving was very cheeky if it had been for myself i would have left but it was for a 87year old ,,who since told me it was rotten ,,,,,,I recommend you sort your pricing and your servers attitude, Would never GO back
Decent food, friendly and chatty staff. Place is always busy and cheery. Good value.

Said £8 on the menu and the guy was trying to charge me £9.6, and the portion is so small! Definitely over priced! Can’t even feed a kid!!! Won’t be back
