Went to bar at 11.30pm and was told I couldn’t get a drink as DJ had called last orders at 11.25 pm but pub doesn’t close till 12am
Great pub on Duke Street, back room with pool table is brilliant and usually a good atmosphere at weekends. Dog-friendly, great staff and great prices.
Your classic old man style pub. Spotless, loads of tables and cheap prices. Bonus point for having a pool table.
Traditional interiors (which I love), and a sun trap pavement beer garden. This also has to be the cheapest pint of Tennents I’ve had in a long time (£3.60!!!) Guinness was also reportedly very good
Good pint and friendly staff,allow dogs in here and checked frequently if dog required water bowl being topped up.
Fun and friendly wee place. I've only popped in a couple times for a wee karaoke in passing but had good experiences consistently.
First visit here and was quite impressed. Pints were good and with tenants at under £3 thought it was reasonably priced. Proper old school pub, interior is a little run down with some damaged flooring and duct tape on a few of the seats but that aside the place is spotless and as clean as a pub as I've ever been in. Probably not the most welcoming looking bar from the outside but good, big interior and decent friendly punters and staff. Probably not somewhere to take a date but would be excellent for session with with mates or even stopping in for a quick pint.
