Had an hour to kill so decided to go to The Beer House. Great sevice and atmosphere :) Belgian waffles with back bacon and maple syrup with Latte and cheeky pink gin with lemonade :P
Very nice pub/ bar. Burger was good and service was great and the place is kept clean. An easy going hassle free vibe. If you've got some time to wait for a train you could do worse than spending some time at The Beer House
Popped in the other day whilst passing through the station and thoroughly enjoyed the pub. Bar staff fantastic and very helpful. Selection of bar snacks was decent and can even add a portion to your pint.
Main entrance to the venue has a couple of steps leading to the seating area and then another set of steps to the main bar area. Very helpful and friendly staff. The cleanliness of the venue was good, no empty glasses or plates on display. Demonstrated a great deal of care taken in the cleaning process. Would recommend a quick bite or a light lunch, if you are waiting for a train. Menu selection is reasonable and the pricing is also good. Would come back again.
Not your average train station pub. Lively and fun (even at 11am on a weekday) yet big enough should you want a little peace and quiet. Fantastic service and don’t underestimate the all-day breakfast. It slaps.
This place was looking tired & worn out last time my train was cancelled. Looks like they’ve invested £5 in the facelift by removing the worn upholstery from the seats & replacing it with laminate floor boards. Mmmmm - comfy!
Saturday night waiting for the train at Glasgow Central station this bar is like the original Star wars bar. As you can imagine it was stowed, difficult to get served and with a lot of drunk people, but having said that the atmosphere was great, a typical example of Scottish humour in adversity. Anyway most times it is quite quiet and relaxing here, avoid on Saturday nights if you are of a nervous disposition.
