Pub was very busy due to festive night out groups having food. Staff although very busy serving everyone were great. The food was first class. Plenty of choices and very tasty. Our group only managed 2 courses due to the generous helpings. Had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Islay Inn to everyone
I first came here last week and the experience was that great I had to return! Emma made us feel so welcome and was incredibly friendly, as are all the staff here! 2nd time I tried the food and the steak pie was one of the best I think I've ever had! If you're looking for somewhere in Glasgow which is accommodating, cosy and serves amazing food I would definitely recommend coming here! They also have live music which brings everyone together!
Lovely pub with great music and delicious food. Me and my partner popped in before going to a gig and was served by a lovely girl called kelsie who got us served quickly and we ordered loaded fries. DELICIOUS!! Some of the best loaded chips ever…. We will be back again 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a wonderful time with my whisky flight. After finishing my flight, I ended with a Whisky Ol’ Fashion. Frank, I believe he was the owner, served the select flight to me. Himself and 3 other local whisky drinkers had made this selection of the four flights offered. Very good selection as you can see from the pictures below. Included is a picture of myself and Frank. GREAT liquor selection overall and the service is top notch!
Quaint pub, tasty food. Sunday roast was delicious with all the trimmings. Huge portions, great bang for your buck at £17pp. The gravy was delightful, I’ll be needing a boat of the stuff next time. Chill atmosphere, pleasant, unobtrusive service. Visited on a Sunday afternoon.
Lively bar and particularly busy at the weekend when there’s live music on. We saw the wee drams recently and they were excellent. Cover band doing the odd The cranberries, The Undertones etc
I’d need to give this place another try as I feel I caught it on a bad moment but on a Saturday night it was absolutely jam packed. The band was on full blast and the crowd were really REALLY drunk. Atmosphere was a bit chaotic so it’s hard to judge it’s character fully. Just wasn’t very inviting on this occasion.
Phenomenal seafood, great whisky selection, and stunningly friendly service. They treated us like longtime locals, even though it was our first day on Islay!
Nice pub with great atmosphere and live music. You can also order food. Gets crowded in the evenings.
Friendly atmosphere and fabulous music at the live jam night. We took some out of towners and couldn't get them to leave until closing, they were loving it so much. Great whisky selection too! Highly recommend.
