Staff were so attentive and helpful in arranging a larger table for us on the day (Scotland v Denmark matchday!) and allowing a slightly longer duration to keep in out of the cold!! Big thanks to all the serving staff too for keeping us supplied with drinks. Great food and drinks, although it appears Scotland fans drank all the draught beers so had run out by the time we got back after the match! Thanks!

A huge thank you to Fran and her colleagues at The Corona for making our family gathering on Saturday truly memorable. From the planning stages to the actual event, Fran was extremely helpful and flexible when some of our arrangements had to be changed. There were a large number of us and we were all very impressed with friendly, welcoming approach, great food and the excellent service. We will most certainly be back soon!

We had my brothers surprise 40th at the Corona. It was a fantastic night, the food was great, the staff couldn't have been better! All the arrangements of the buffet and dj were booked before the night and if there was anything to be changed the staff were more than happy to oblige. It was all seamless and I would highly recommend the Corona for any function! They also do a wonderful margarita!

Reserved a table for the Sunday roast. It was pretty quiet around noon, but was a chill atmosphere with relaxing autumn decor and a fire. Table service was quick and they were very considerate for our dairy restrictions. Food was ok, the yorkshire puds were a tad overcooked and the meat was slightly tough, but it was filling and flavourful enough. Staff are very friendly.

Travelled up from Galloway for Reytons gig so needed fed first. Arrived just after 4.30pm with my daughter. Shown straight to our reserved table on the raised platform, both if us are vegan and gluten free. Handed an extensive menu, drinks came sharpish food ordered, taken by staff member with full knowledge of what we could and couldn't order. Food arrived promptly and presentation was top drawer. We are both experienced restaurant goers and are fully aware of the pitfalls awaiting gluten free and vegan customers. All 4 choices we made were excellent; all food was top quality and filled us up ready for a night of gigging. 10% service charge was highlighted on bill and can be removed, left an extra tip. Food was excellent, service was impeccable. Will definitely be back for a pre-gig fuelling stop as easy to get into town.

The Corona should be five stars all day long. Great location, great staff and it should be a really nice place to be given it is an old school, victorian pub with a rich history. Unfortunately, the landlord "Garry," who never steps foot in the place, is allowing it to rot. He fixes nothing and invests, not a penny in the place. If something breaks, it's broken forever. This is a man who takes the ice machines from the pub to put in his other (more important) venue in town. The staff are spending their own money on bags of ice from supermarkets to stock the bar and hoping they will be reimbursed. There are holes in walls, a leaking roof, broken windows, and NOTHING has been done. The landlord is clearly not interested and needs to be removed before somebody gets hurt due to his incompetence and disregard for his staff and customers. It is a tragedy that such a great pub has been allowed to deteriorate so badly due to one feckless landlord who very obviously doesn't understand or care about the fantastic asset he has in the building or his terrific staff. The sooner he is out, the better.

Deceptively large traditional pub with plenty of seating and a large bar area. Very quiet when we went in Saturday afternoon but gets lively on weekend nights with a DJ and Karaoke. Loads of old fashioned character and well priced drinks. Facilities a little dated in places and maybe could do with a refresh here and there but overall still one of the better pubs on the South Side.

Excellent. Lovely service, terrific food, quite an unusual menu rather than traditional pub food, this enhanced the experience. I had a panko chicken burger with fries loaded with chilli mac + cheese. It was very reasonable, we will definitely return.
