This is a great pub - the food is amazing but the staff are even better . It’s no surprise it’s always busy - that’s because it’s so good would recommend stop by for a pint and some food , you’ll become a regular
Food was amazing and 10 out of 10 for the young waitress who waited on our table nothing was a bother for her 5* iv lost count how many times iv been here and the food is always lovely A very busy pub no matter when you go, so that speaks for itself again,the waitress was so attentive nothing was a bother 5*
Had two wonderful meals here throughout our week visiting Glasgow, for our son’s graduation. Serving and bar staff were welcoming and attentive, chef was accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal that we were sharing and that we were more than satisfied. We enjoyed delicious fish and chips and a perfect steak pie! Wonderful place to dine and enjoy a drink and social time with family and friends. Thank you!
Friendly traditional pub in Partick a short walk from Partick train station. Food is reasonably priced and of good quality. Vegetable fajitas were excellent. Good range of drinks. Smoking area to back of pub. Large screens to watch football.
Great pub witb traditional features , seating area available and standing at the bar. Good range of all drinks and drafts with a friendly and attentive staff ..many tv screens screaning different sports games so a bit for everyone. Toilets on site , newly done to an excellent standard and very clean. Food available too with a pub grub. Prices are reasonable £4 for a pint of Amstel.
A good pub. There's no shortage of pubs in Partick but the Deoch An Dorus is the one I find myself returning to the most. I think the name is Gaelic for whisky and water. There are a number of big television screens in this bar so you can usually see whatever game of football it is you are looking for. The staff are always friendly and the pub maintains a good atmosphere all the time. I think they would claim that they are a neutral pub when it comes to footy teams but it draws more of a Rangers crowd when they are playing and it is always busy on game days. Fair choice of pints on tap and they must keep the lines clean as I've never had a bad pint. Good place all in all.
Having spent the last week in Glasgow enjoying many great meals, including 4 different steak pie lunches, this one was the best. Washed down with a pint of heavy, delicious. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. I will be back in my next visit to Glasgow.
Never in my entire life I have been so insulted than in this bar by one of the staff members, I assumed might have been the manager, a middle aged guy of doubtful origins - he denied serving me and my partner, stating that one of us wasn't quite sober. Considering the amount of heavy drink they serve on the spot to say the least after a small glass of guiness I previously had, it was none the less a ridiculous accusation. How can a guy like this allow himself to insult verbally and almost physically a female customer in a public place without no plausable reason is beyond my comprehension. I am seriously considering taking legal steps against this pub and its personnel.
