   I was literally left in tears. By FAR the worst hair cut experience I’ve ever had in my life. I usually don’t leave bad reviews for small businesses but this was just horrid. N1 the haircut: it was horrible. I asked for a wispy fringe but he clearly doesn’t know what that is because he gave me a big solid block of a fringe. but that wasn’t the worst part. The hairdresser Allan was clearly angry from before I walked in. He was rushing me and every time I tried to clarify how I wanted the cut he would rudely say he’s getting to it. At the end of the hair cut, I didn’t like it but I knew it was too late and I was afraid to say anything because of his aggressive demeanor. But when I did, he was telling me off, pretty much yelling over and over “you need to figure out what you want” (which I did know what I want, it was just too late because he had already cut a massive fringe). So when he said “what do you want me to do????” I just said I don’t know because I knew it was already too late. He kept telling me off until I started crying. After no apology or any sympathy at all, he told me to pay. I quickly payed since I just wanted to leave. I was beyond stressed out. I usually like to get my hairdresser’s input since they are experts. Maybe this was the problem since he clearly wanted me to shut up and just cut.

   Booked an appointment and it got rescheduled last minute after I had already shown up to the shop and when I went for the new appointment the shop was closed I called Allan and there was no answer... would not recommend

   Rating: ★★★★★ for the haircut, but... The 1st haircut itself was excellent—5-star quality without question. The barber is clearly skilled and attentive to detail. However, the 2nd booking experience was very disappointing. My original prebooked appointment was first rescheduled, then cancelled. I rebooked, only for that appointment to be cancelled again just minutes before the scheduled time. It's incredibly frustrating and not what I expect from a professional service. The lack of reliability really let down an otherwise great experience the 1st time.

   Had my first haircut with Allan today, was delighted with the result :) He listened to what I wanted and has top skills and chat. Also was very nice about the fact I'd double booked by mistake! I highly recommend RPS, thanks a mill Allan :)

   Not a good overall experience. Was kept waiting on both occasions for a substantial amount of time before being seen and absolutely no apology. A complete lack of the most basic manners. He did a very rushed job the second time I visited that salon. He also hiked up his prices with no warning. People are entitled to increase their prices of course but some forewarning would’ve been nice and the decent thing to do. There are far FAR better places to get your hair done. I’d definitely recommend avoiding this one.

   The definition of ‘hidden gem’! Rock Paper Scissors is easy to miss, on the corner of (appropriately named) Allan St. Allan is very personable and chatty, knows his stuff, very professional, and delivered a great cut and blow dry. Absolutely recommended! Oh, and if you have a spare moment, go across the road to The Pastry Selection - their carrot cake is to die for.

   I like to support local businesses and I am usually delighted by their personal service. Not in this instance! I booked an appointment for 1pm and on arrival was told he was running 10 minutes late. I expressed my concern as I had a taxi hooked for 1.45 for a flight but was told to wait. Eventually at 1.20 I was seen and needless to say ended up having to leave with my hair still wet and not dried as I had requested and charged full price for the privilege. Please don’t take bookings if you aren’t able to honour them! I am one very unhappy customer and shall not be back and unfortunately don’t have a good word to say about my experience.
