   Brilliant pub with the most friendly, welcoming & hospitable staff we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. We stopped over for the night after a long drive up from Cornwall with kids & dogs and we couldn’t have been made more comfortable. Highly recommend this place - to both locals & non-locals alike. Atmosphere was relaxed and fun and the beer was good too!

   What a hidden gem!! We were so glad to stumble upon this little pub. They didn't serve food (we were happy with crisps and nuts) so that did not affect a perfect evening. Kristen(?), the owner was very gracious and offered to get some take away but we were there for the atmosphere and people!! The friendliness, extra effort to accommodate us and our questions about the area made this a stop that we would have liked to extend extra days in the area. Coming from Canada, it was the perfect Scottish stop we we searching for on our vacation. Thank you so much!!!

   We popped in for a coffee when we were out for a walk. The staff said they didn't have the new coffee machine yet but offered to make us a cup of "instant" to warm us up which was brilliant. Nice to see some friendly customer service these days. Well done.
