   Having had a not so good experience at another of these establishments, we were wary to give this a go again. The two experiences were like night and day. The staff were friendly and and helpful and the food of a pretty decent standard. Definitely one of the better carvery experiences we have had and dishes from main menu were well cooked and good quality too.

   Came in late for food and the staff were very pleasant. The food was great and the service from staff was excellent. Dessert was the highlight and staff were happy to accommodate the order after the kitchen had closed. Highly recommended.

   Visited today for a birthday lunch although the restaurant was busy we got a table straight away. We ordered at the bar and within minutes we had our starter we both ordered Halloumi fries with different dips and it was excellent. Mains were a selection from the chicken combo and a farmhouse burger. As a before arrived quick hot and fantastic value for money. The food was delicious and the burgers were moist and cooked to perfection. Kendal took us to our table and served our food to us today and could not do enough to assist us. Big thanks to Kendal and the kitchen team for a perfect lunch.

   Daughters meal was inedible. Mash was like a sponge consistency. Not sure how you can call this "tomato" pasta. Items missing including all drinks - we asked about drinks and was told they'd be right back. Nobody came back. Couldn't get any other staff members attention to ask again. So we wont be back.

   Had a great experience at farmhouse inns, despite it being busy at the weekend we were served very quickly. All the staff were great and very helpful. Especially the manager Kendal who attended to us and made sure everything was okay for us. The food was lovely and I loved the selection of cakes that they now have. The mr whippy ice cream topped it off!! Will definitely be back!

   Carvery was fantastic today! It seemed very busy this afternoon, but nothing was too much for the team I interacted with, all helped us with a smile on their faces! Carvery chefs were great too! My husband had the combo feast and it was brilliant ! We will be back soon, and this time we’re taking cake home, I can’t stop thinking about that cake display! YUM!

   Food was really nice. Starters delicious. Main course was carvery. Don't usually do carvery, but on this occasion, the meats were delicious, excellent selection of veggies which were warm but not baked to a crisp by overhead heat lamps. No room for a dessert but you can ask to take it home for later. A great experience overall. Like the Terminator, "I'll be back!"

   Wasn't especially impressed with the food, and the drinks machine is a waste of time! My hot chocolate was hot milk! I asked at the bar after a little bit of a wait, if the chocolate had run out, only to be given 3 scoops of chocolate to add to my now warm milk!

   I have used this facility for many years and last night was without exception my worst experience. This was booked in advance hoping to enjoy carvery. Alas only ham left no beef or turkey. So we opted for steaks - no steaks either. We ended up with fish, which mushy on bottom and yes no mushy peas either. One guest could not eat it at all. The kids ice cream topping well there were none working. All in all a big disaster and when asked staff did not seem to know why many products were unavailable. The toilets were not attended too and the kids toilets were particularly unclean. I am unsure if this establishment has been taken over and changed hands but it is poor. Ah yes glasses etc piled up as staff stood around chatting. Not a good experience and unlikely to return unless it improves.
