   Great experience with the staff here. Screen wash wasn’t working. I’d tried loads of places who couldn’t help. Then tried replacing one fuse myself, no joy. Then a guy here called Connor (very friendly and approachable)took a look and did some diagnostics. He replaced a fuse on a different fuse board and screen wash powered up again. Thank you Connor and have a good 2026!

   Absolutely amazing experience. Staff were extremely helpful, had to get one of my bulbs changed and got a free complimentary car check as well. Jason and David were extremely polite and helpful. Gave great advice to prevent future issues and a full report on my car.

   I have absolutely no faith in halfords ability or truthfulness having had the last 3 services performed by them. First of all, according to them my front brake pads have been 8mm for the last 3 years. The rear pads have gone from 8mm to 6mm to 7mm. Front discs have increased by 1.5mm in the last 3 years and rear discs have increased by 3mm??? This time I had an email recommendation to change brake fluid and air filter because of the age of my van. However, Halfords performed a major service on my van last year where this should have been included. The van failed the mot on this occasion due to a split in the exhaust. They quoted £620 to replace the front exhaust pipe and a staggering £78.67 to replace a bulb! If a walked 5 yards next door to the halfords shop I can get the bulb for £16 fitted. I would never take my van to Halfords again as they are clearly not checking what they're supposed to and are charging ridiculous prices for parts.

   Phenomenal service!! As a young female, naturally I don’t know enough about cars but the guys here helped me so much, explaining what was wrong and what needed fixed etc.. they really took care of me and made me feel a lot more at ease. Will definitely be taking my car here for regular services, totally trustworthy team, thank you!!

   HALFORDS rip off Car went in for MOT- Guy phoned me up quoting £400 and tried to pressure me into getting the work done with them stating ‘I can’t drive it elsewhere because it had failed’ this is completely false as I had no dangerous faults and an MOT valid for 3weeks. I asked the guys about what was actually needed to be done and the staff seemed fairly clueless. Something seemed off so got my keys and went elsewhere. To my surprise.. PASSED with no work to be done.

   Shocking experience I booked my car in for a service at halfords autocentre Rutherglen G731SX 8.30am dropped the car off and waited for the call to pick it back up. Unfortunately this never came and they ended up keeping my car overnight with no communication or warning, leaving me stranded

   Shame I can't give zero or minus stars. I booked my car in for an MOT only to be turned away as it was double booked and they had system issues. Booked again and car still hadn't got on the bay due to some issue or another. Car failed MOT (surprise surprise!) I then chased for repair costs 3 days of chasing later was quoted over £500 Took the car away got repairs done elsewhere for a fraction (25%) of the price quoted. Booked car again for retest, guess what! No booking was on the system. I am a premium motoring club member but will not be renewing my membership next year. No communication, over priced, under delivered. Honourable mention to Martin's garage just of Duke St and Cambus MOT in Tollcross for completing the work at extreme short notice

   Once a great place for most motoring things you needed. Totally overpriced stock and staff that ignore you, has chased away customers. The picture was taken at 1pm on a Saturday - usually a busy time. Boxes of stock around some passageways, but a Stereo wall with a lot of empty holes. The website was a shambles. Searching will give you maybe one result whereas a Google search of Halfords will generate more. If you can't order from any other online store, then if you've time to wait - you'll probably get it here. £38 for a wiper blade? Don't think so!
