   Avoid this store! Terrible customer service. Manager seems to not know law and policy. Very rude. Store was closing down so they had sales, to sell everything out. Online are different prices but in stores there is bigger discount because of closing the store. There was lots of single items and furniture with price tags with sale on them. I found a nice drink trolley (underlining) WITH A SALE PRICE TAG ON IT. Man on the till and manager refused to sell me the item as apparently this store have a different policy from other Homebase as i bought the same item from other Homebase with not any problems and here they wouldn’t sell due to this item being „on display” there was NO tag stating that the item is for display only and not for sale, it had a tag with sale on it just like the other last items, customer beside me bought last bedside table with the same price tag as the item i wanted they sold that but refused to sell me the trolley. He didn’t even give a reasonable answer. Just rudly smirking to my face. Like maybe he would like to keep it for someone hmm? Policy states that if an item has a price tag ON the item it needs to be sold for this price. Don’t even bother to go there to buy as they will refuse you sale. Very unproffesional. This will be taken further.

   Don't think I will ever go back into this store. The manager is a horrible individual. I recently purchased a kitchen and went back to order a few other bits. It was delivered to a different address and I had to go and collect it as the owner was on holiday. I called the store they couldn't care less. They didn't even call me back. I then went into the store to ask for a refund and the managers exact words were I can tell you right now your not getting your money back. The item was £110 so I managed to get £60 back. She was horrible.

   Always friendly and helpful. If you're walking around the store looking for something without a clue as to where to find it, and determined not to ask (as men do) they can spot you and will take you to where you need to be. True.

   Purchased some garden slabs but checking stock within the garden area, many were mixed up with other types and several were broken/damaged. Would have been nicer if the broken slabs were removed but I suppose that will happen with heavy items

   Bought some anti mould paint and some furniture paint here. Not much to say except that it seems to be working and the click and collect order process was very quick. Not a great photo - but this was the paint and it applied well

   Loads of discounts on at present,I read they are changing their selling areas and moving in to groceries food etc,which is a good thing adds a bit more scope for shoppers and the more wide competition the better

   This particular Homebase seems a little smaller than others. The staff attempted to be helpful but were not particularly knowledgeable about anything technical. I was specifically looking for a turnbuckle to attach and tighten coated galvaized wire. This could be used for fencing or even a clothes line. When I asked where the crimps and wire crimpers were I was taken to electrical crimpers. I also was looking for a circular saw. Ozito is a good brand. There were huge gaps in the stock and not much of a selection of anything else. I liked the fact that the hand saws were made in Europe and not China. They were only fractionally more expensive for a much better product--hence the stars awarded.
