   What an amazing generous company . Recently donated some bark to my daughter's nursery as they are getting the garden redone .    Placed an order for 1 sheet of plasterboard and some insulation for a job in my living room. Order placed on Friday appointment for collection would be next Tuesday morning. According to website items were in stock.understand they are busy and Covid distance etc but I can go to b & q and Chet it tonight. Always try and buy local but won’t be buildbase

   I have bought from Whitburn before and my experience was fine. However i placed my biggest order recently and the service I had from one individual and delivery was very poor. After placing order I believe I spoke to a member who was in a senior position to check on delivery, he was abrupt, crabbit and unpleasant to talk to. The delivery arrived in the afternoon and not the morning as he advised, I had to take time off work to get home for this. 1tf on the end of each of the 5 lengths was shattered, so 5ft I paid for I couldn’t use. I had to readjust my build for this. I called them and asked manager to callback; I never received a callI. I will avoid from now on.

   Staff not with it staff argue with themselves on prices. The hire section is a joke Staff in yard well say no more. And this is my experience after one visit needless to say I won't be using again. Even got to hear the staff talking about how pish there transport is . And apparently manager no in again .
